September is for sowing Lisianthus 😍 (and like, a million other things, but lisis are my fave and quite the divas, so they have a process all their own) These past few years I’ve purchased live plugs for them, but this year I’m going all in on starting them from seed- last year I did both and now I’m feeling more confident in my abilities 🙃 🙏🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽

Yes, some of us need to take these storms a little more seriously, especially if you’ve got water views out your windows…. But our family lives on high ground, so our preparations include making a batch of boiled peanuts (a tradition I started a few years ago, they make a great hurricane snack!) and mowing the grass so it’s not knee high by the time the storm passes We’ve lost power before- there are lots of mature trees in our neighborhood and above ground power lines- during Irma and Matthew we were in the dark for 5 days. It sucks but other than losing lots of water weight, we pulled through unscathed Y’all stay safe out there!

I love thrifting my glassware any chance I get!
