It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything! Mainly because I changed my business name and FB won’t let me officially change it in here! I’m working on it, but may take me awhile. My Melissa Coordinating and Floral Design is now My Melissa Events LLC!! I’m a big girl now. Lol
Some new services were added to the business too.
I’ve had fun with adding bar services to my company.

It’s been an exciting year so far and I’m patiently (not so patiently) waiting for photographers to get images back from weddings this year. I’ve been working since May, and I am working all the way through November! Over half way there! Let’s go 2024 it’s been a wild ride so far, let’s see what else we can accomplish.

I can’t even begin to explain how exciting it is to finally have my very own floral fridge!!! So excited to fill this guy with all the blooms this summer!
Small intimate wedding this weekend, but still makes me feel so good to have the space and refrigeration to be able to supply my brides and clients with the freshest flowers possible! 💐
And yes, that is Christopher Walken on the door, and yes he is staying- 🤣

Happy Spring Everyone!!
Congratulations to all of the 2023 brides getting married. I have just a few dates left available for Day of Coordinating, a few dates available for bartending services, and a handful of dates for floral packages.
If you are still in need of help with last minute details let me know! I’d love to help make your day stress free and beautiful.

Anyone JUST get engaged and wanting to get married this year and not think it’s possible?! Get in touch! To all my 2022 brides! Most of us have had our phone chat, then a meeting in person and we’ve discussed all of your visions and dreams for your upcoming wedding. During this meeting I have explained to you about the flower shortage we experienced during the 2021 wedding season. I prepare you for the possibility that your favorite blush rose may not be available, and I reassure you that I will do my best to find a similar flower. This article might better help you understand why I feel it’s important to prepare you for those possibilities. Please be flexible with me, it will be out of my control! But I promise, I will get you beautiful flowers and do everything to make sure you are happy.

My name is Melissa, and I am a day of wedding and event coordinator! My business name started with a very special bride introducing me to her bridal party as “This is My Melissa” and the name just stuck. My job as a Day of Coordinator and Consultant, is to help DIY brides make their planning and visions come to life on their special day, as well as provide before event advice and guidance. When the special day arrives, I will be your personal wedding coordinator, assuring your day goes perfectly!!

My experience with weddings started in 2004 when I started as a server for a catering company while attending college. My love for watching the bride walk down the aisle, the dress, the grooms face when he sees his bride for the first time, all started on that first day of setting elaborate tables and serving food to guests. I continued my love for weddings all the way through graduating college and having 2 children. I catered for many years and went on to be a wedding and event coordinator with a 5-star catering and event company located in the beautiful wine country of Sonoma, California. I was honored to be part of Park Ave Caterings team as an event coordinator and had the privilege of being part of some of the most amazing wine country weddings. I have continued over the years to work in many different areas of the wedding industry, such as cake delivery and set up, bar and beverage management, as well as floral design. I am now located in Damascus, Oregon with 2 amazing boys, 2 dogs, and a yard full of chickens, and ready to start creating amazing weddings again in this gorgeous state of Oregon! I can honestly say, I have and always will, love everything about weddings! Let me help you create the most beautiful day of your life.

As well as coordinating, I also offer budget friendly floral design. I would be happy to meet with you and discuss your visions for flowers and see if we can create a beautiful floral design for your upcoming day! We also provide preservation of your Bridal bouquet after your wedding, so you can keep enjoying your flowers for years to come.
