So excited to have Matt Toms joining the Sip & Sing team at our upcoming Tassie shows!

Matt grew up in the hills above Byron Bay, and picked up a guitar at age 9.
He’s had one in his hands ever since.
He’s played in touring covers bands, bush bands, roots reggae trios, hardworking Sydney duos, and has gigged as a soloist across the UK, New Zealand, Sydney and the entire length of Australia’s east coast, now including Tasmania, since recently relocating from Sydney to Hobart.
Along the way he has busked, won ukulele songwriting awards and performed at festivals, composed music for the screen, and since 2006 has been a professional guitar and ukulele teacher, complete with a youtube channel for lessons that is rapidly growing.

“I’ve forgotten literally thousands of songs, but a few have stuck. And it’s given me not only a very broad repertoire, but an ability to adapt and adopt many different styles. I love that music can be alive and elastic, and most of all fun, and Miss Jacquie’s Sip and Sing is the perfect format to bring that all together in a performance environment that’s unlike any other.”
