A century of conservation was the cause of this one of a kind event. Yosemite Conservancy held this event on the lawn at The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. Being in this setting, we let the meadows in the valley be the inspiration in our decor surrounded by the iconic views.

Designing florals in paradise was a dream come true. I didn't consider before we got there that its also torture to stay focused inside when the most beautiful beach and perfect water temperature is at your fingertips and my kids are coming in and out more sun-kissed throughout the day.
We have a solid process when designing in hotels and at destination locations but there is always extra layers. This particular job was the hands of three of us to deliver and set up in 30 minutes while we had hurricane winds outside. It was the first in many, many years that almost made me burst into tears as flower stems were being blown away but we made it! This view though....its just perfect.

The last call every night before the first day of school was from my Nona telling me "school tomorrow kids....school tomorrow." My kids now have the joy of their Noni making those annual calls to make sure they have the same reminder.
Tomorrow is 4 kids, 3 schools, a toddler and baby at home and a hefty workload for my new normal. Ready to do this!
