Final surgery!!
Surgery went well with no complications and I am now settled into my hospital room. As long as the final biopsy comes back clean, we are in the clear and this should be my final surgery. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. ❤️❤️

I want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding as we have been navigating my health. I am happy to say that after the most recent biopsy, no more cancer cells were found. Unfortunately, due to everything my body has been through these past few months, I was hospitalized due to my kidneys not functioning correctly. I am now home and recovering very well. One more surgery left, and we should be in the clear!

When you are learning how to make espresso drinks from home, what is a girl to do? Grab her camera and take pictures while sampling multiple flavors of coffee? Heck yes! There are always things to learn when it comes to photography. There are always things to learn for the wedding industry. Whether it be other professionals, education, or even your clients, never stop learning!
💐Let's talk florals! 💐
How do you choose your wedding florals? The very first step is figuring out your floral budget and how important they are to you. If florals are super important to you, you might dedicate more to your budget. However, typically 8-10% of your overall budget is florals.
Once you have your budget, the next thing is to decide if you would like to hire a florist or DIY them. Before deciding to DIY your florals, I highly recommend buying some to practice with first and then decide if you can also make the same arraignments multiple times. Keep in mind that DIY florals can be very time consuming.
Next you will need to decide if you want real florals, artificial florals, wood florals, or even silk florals. There are so many kinds but something to keep in mind is artificial, silks, and real touch florals can be a lot more expensive than real and you will need a plan for what to do with them after your wedding day.
Now time for the big step and that is what look are you going for. If you are not sure yet, that is totally ok. If you are hiring a florist, they can help you figure out what your vision is. Another helpful tool is to look on Pinterest and see what florals you like that would go with your theme or color scheme.
There is a popular question when it comes to receptions. Should you do assigned seating or can you just do a few reserved tables. Whichever route you decide to go is up to you and your wedding day vision.
But here is why I recommend doing assigned seating. Surprisingly, there are quite a few reasons to go with assigned seating. However, the main reasons are so you know how many tables you need, everyone will have a place to sit, and it will help alleviate potential awkwardness between guests. If you choose to skip assigned seating, I highly recommend having reserved tables for immediate family members.
An additional thing to remember, save a table for your vendors. Some vendors such as a planner or coordinator, photographers, videographers, bands or DJs, and assistants to these vendors do require that a meal be provided.
As a wedding planner, I will tell you to stop and take everything in. Stop and take a look at all your hard work. Stop and take a look at all the people who came to celebrate you. Stop and take a moment to be in the moment. Stopping to take a moment helps you remember more than just memories. It helps you remember how you feel.
As a photographer, capturing the moments where you stop and take it all in shows so much emotion. Its the connection you feel with your partner. The feelings of creating a life together. The excitement of what the future holds. You would be amazed at how many emotions you remember when you stop and take it all in.
There are a few things you can do to give yourself extra time and moments. Things like taking a minute or two to sneak away together. Pause before or after moments like your ceremony, grand entrance, and first dance. Put some time on your schedule for a private first look or private dance. No matter how you choose to give yourselves extra time and moments. Just remember to take it in.
What do you get when you mix a wedding photographer and a water fountain? A dip when the fountain is at its highest! Don't worry, everyone stayed dry!
But can I just say how stunning this is?! When you are doing your couples portraits, don't be afraid to try something a little out of your comfort zone. If you want to do a pose but are not sure how to do it, it is absolutely ok to practice a few times. Even before your wedding day. Make sure to chat with your photographer and discuss your boundaries and things you would like to try. We are more than happy to help you!

Time slots are $75 for one 30 minute session with 7 edited images delivered in a online gallery. This dress is both unique and sparkly. It hugs all the right spots for a flattering silhouette. This dress was a little heavier used than most of our other dresses. However, after a couple of minor fixes, it will look fantastic! I think this would be a great opportunity to talk about buying a used wedding dress.
It is becoming a lot more popular to buy a previously worn or rentable wedding dress. But there are things to consider when buying used. I highly recommend looking at used dress shops and consignment as you can physically try the dress on before buying. Beware of resale groups as scamming has become a lot more popular with wedding related things. Stillwhite is a popular online site for dress shopping.
Before buying a dress, I highly recommend asking these questions.
What brand is the dress?
Has the dress been altered?
What are the measurements of the dress?
When and where was the dress worn?
Has the dress been cleaned and preserved?
Is the dress returnable?
Are there additional photos available?
Do you have the original receipt?
Are there any accessories available?
