After the performances, at 9:30 pm, the Jam Session guided by SuikerJam will begin! 🥁🎶

SuikerJam occurs twice a month at the Suikerterrain and welcomes musicians of all levels!

The aim of the SuikerJam is to enable ‘making music together in a safe space’ regularly. They want to inspire musicians to expand their musical framework, let go of expectations, and embark on a journey of discovery together. A musical breeding ground without fixed styles and expectations.

What makes SuikerJam special is that it’s not just a musical initiative but also a social initiative. This form of jamming is also a lot of fun for spectators because they are so close to the creative process that they end up becoming part of it and experience how music is born.

Groundless Society describe themselves as a drum&bass, postpunk band that will overload your senses with their dissonant spherical landscapes transforming into an eclectic mix of metallic energy combustion 🔥

The band is composed of Luca Polizzi on guitar and .pisapia on percussions.

RADISH SUMMER SESSIONS: Season Opening Event! 🌷🍉🌿🌞

Hello everybody! Radish is back after a long hiatus - this time at a cozy new location in the city center, ‘El Maïda’! 🥰

We will once again be inviting all kinds of local artists to showcase their work in a more personal and intimate space!

For this event we will have:
- Fi!Da ft. Lija Mozetič (live guitar & dance improvisation)
- GROUNDLESS SOCIETY (live ‘drum & bass’)

Following the live performances there will be an open jam session in collaboration with the ‘SuikerJam’ - a bi-weekly jam session that welcomes all levels & knows how to have a good time!

We’ll also be serving some refreshing, summery (non-alcoholic) drinks from El Maïda, such as lemonades and tonics 🥰

Our opening act is an immersive art and music experience✨️✨️✨️

Fi!Da?Li* is best described as a synthesis of improvised music, loop-based compositions, and free improvised dance.
Audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the ever-evolving exploration of sound and movement as Fi!Da?Li* channels their collective synergy and creates an experience that is both thought-provoking and meditative.
Fi!Da?Li* is an idea that transcends the realm of music and reaches over to other artistic expressions. Building bridges to discover new perspectives of the river.

The collective will perform as a duo. David Vinazza on guitar, effects, and Lija Mozetič .mozetic as a dancer.

Hi lovely beings! We are excited to announce a new event that will take place on December 8th. We invite you to a Full Moon Celebration where you will be able to experience performances by 3 diverse and enchanting artists:

Arman .ameri sees music as a medium to connect with the inner state and on the full moon he will facilitate this connection by taking you through a soundhealing journey and sharing an experience of Indian and Persian music.

Karina is a storyteller whose stories are inspired by mythological and folk tales. Through her stories she channels this old wisdom to reach the hearts and minds of her listeners, bringing them comfort, joy and food for thought.

MAYA MARIA .ayamaria is the kind of artist that disarms you while at the same time challenges you emotionally. She focuses on what freedom of creativity means to her and expresses this with love through her music and body. Her songs will be accompanied by Kaiet Bèrgsma on guitar.

This night we will harness the healing power of the arts and the energy of a connected moment to release burdens, set intentions and share the love.

During breaks and after the concert you are welcome to visit the Sangha Cafe .cafe.groningen (based in the same building) where you can buy some (non-alcoholic) drinks or donation based vegan food.

- The event will take place at Edanz (Van Oldenbarneveltlaan 6).
- Doors open at 18.00, first performace starts at 18.30. We kindly ask you to be on time.

The time has come for us to leave our humble and homely beginnings...

while still keeping true to our intimate and cosy community feels 🥰💖

To close-off with a bang, we are hosting an all-day dance affair with dj's, art, food, drinks.

We will host an open decks session so if you would like to dj, feel free to send us your name and we can add you on the list!

On May the 4th, a treat for your ears and eyes; softly sweet melodies, high vibrational tunes and a visually thrilling spectacle!

Liora, a jazz vocalist studying at Prince Claus Convervatorium, takes the floor first. She will be performing her own original tracks for the first time at Radish Events. How exciting!
Liora describes her style as R&B with her own unique twist to it.

Live At Olympus are a folk rock band from Groningen with two core musicians, Dirk-Jan Apoll playing a homemade electro-acoustic hollow-body telecaster guitar, and Tsveta Boneva playing a gorgeous classical Bulgarian violin.
"At Radish events we'll be playing songs from our album 'We Are Live At Olympus' - a record alternating highly energetic folk rock songs with calm, intimate indie folk songs."

Martie, an LED ball juggler, has a very unique way of juggling that you've probably never seen before! Martie doesn't work with a choreography, he likes to vibe with the flow during his performances. Spectators have referred to him as a ninja when he does his high energy moves 🤹‍♂️
Besides a visual performance in the dark with colourful lights, there will be also be an LED game with those of you that dare to participate in ;)

On Thursday the 21st we have quite the delicious range of talented performers~

Lima Osta ()is a neo-soul, r&b singer originally from Belarus, currently living here in Groningen (Netherlands). Lima is going to present her own original, yet unreleased songs in an acoustic version together with guitarist Marnick Postino () and bassist Joost van der Bijl (). These songs will be presented for the first time at our event - what a treat!

Mirries () is a bit of a dreamer, she finds her words along the way - through nature, our society and in the movements of the people around her. She likes to create dreamy stories with those words. What exactly? She never knows for sure until she gets her pen on paper.

Jan Jeneson (), a 21 year old jazz-saxophonist, will play a selection of jazz standards as well as some of his own compositions. Accompanying him are Joshua ten Doornkaat () on double bass and Blaze Reth () on guitar.
Get ready to enjoy a cookin’ groove, virtuous solo’s and soulful ballads. In other words; get ready for that jazzzzz!

First we have Ernests the Lemon
An enigma which you will have to discover for yourself ;)

Next, Alan Jozua
A 19-year old multi-instrumentalist from Groningen. His music is inspired by Americana, which includes bluegrass, old-time and folk music. He will be playing his own compositions on banjo and the guitar; as well as singing both new and traditional American folk songs.

Inka Pyykkönen will end the night with fire, fans and flow 🔥

Radish Events is a new project created by Farah and Ieva as an initiative to bring back music, art, and community vibes after the 2 years of isolation.
The project has been creative, stimulating and deeply nourishing in terms of connecting with the lovely community of Groningen ♥️
