Total food saved : 77.795kg

All excess food were immediately distributed and shared out with a local orphanage home and a orang asli children home. WaW also shared along dry food provisions such as animal shaped biscuits, mayonnaise, chicken stock, peanut butter strawberry jam and premium habanero chillies 😀❤🥰

🥣🥣🥣 31.45kg food saved with Atlas Copco Malaysia & Singapore on their annual customers day event in Setia SPICE Convention Centre Penang on the 30th August 2023. ☘️🌏🍃 Another feat by WaW, food were shared immediately with a nearby Rumah Kebajikan with a total of 40 people, including adults, elderly and children. 🥰❤

What a beautiful way to start 2023 with our first zero food waste wedding! Congratulations, again Nicole & Jay for "Saying I Do To The Environment" ❤️💚. It is a privilege to be part of your big day to give you a unique wedding experience! Thank you for sharing your food to feed our marginalized community ❤️🙏. Synergizing with green wedding partner, Eventistry, WaW food warriors were deployed to rescue surplus food for the night. Racing against time, the food was packed into rescued food containers and immediately brought to a 'Rumah Kanak-kanak Orang Asli' 😊❤️. In our ongoing efforts to prevent good food from going to the landfills, What A Waste, through it's green wedding arm, What A Wedding by WAW, has for the last 4 years, prevented more than 4 million kg of food from wasted from our signature food rescue missions 💚🌏.

Total 23.61kg food weight

1. Roasted Meat - 8.60kg
2. Fried Prawn Roll - 1.32kg
3. Hainanese Chicken Rice - 13.69kg

Total 41.39kg of food rescued from the beautiful wedding of Mike and Yuki on 23rd October 2022❤️💚. Congratulations, once again, to this lovely couple for saying "I Do" to the environment as they said "I Do" to one another 🤵❤️👰💚🌏! This is a significant declaration that they have made, to put importance on the welfare of our environment on their biggest day 😍🥰. Well done! We took opportunity to deploy our youngest 7 year old food warrior to accumulate on-ground experience through this mission while nurturing awareness on this very crucial topic of food waste. Going through our strict routine, this excess food was immediately made available to a nearby Children's Home at Sentul 🥰😋

May we first say, this is one of the 'greenest' wedding events that we have partaken in 💚. 560 guest pax generating only 25.70kg of surplus food! Well done to our Green Wedding Planner Eventistry, once again, for an event so well organised at a school hall venue! With constant encouragement to 'unshy' the guest to pack home remaining dishes, we successfully saw to the great reduction of potential organic waste 😃. This is one outcome that we at What A Waste are absolutely proud of. Going through our food rescue routine, our food warriors apportioned this evening's remaining surplus into 2 sets and immediately brought to 2 seperate welfare homes for a fullfilling dinner 😃😋.
