Wow! Thatâs the first word that comes to mind when we think about this years Scottish Cup competition. ð

And this was just a JNR tournament. ð²
This competition has exploded in popularity since we launched it for the first time last year. ð
Our mission is to bring a fresh feel to the industry with the events that we run. With the feedback weâve had so far, weâre confident that we are on the right track with that. ð
We recognise that we were off a bit with the schedule yesterday. Weâve taken this onboard and will ensure that we implement some changes for the next one. We never shy away from constructive criticism, in fact we do the opposite and welcome it. So thank you to those who have passed that on thus far. ððŒ
A huge thank you to every single person who took part yesterday; competitors, umpires, spectators, event staff, volunteers. Without you all, there is no event.
A special shout out to Mr John Munro who worked tirelessly all day as our Head Umpire. ð

ð Umpires - Please wear smart navy trousers, white socks and white trainers (polo shirt will be provided or please wear the one you were given last year if you still have it).
ð Spectators - Spectator bands will be available to purchase to the left hand side as you enter the building. 5+ years = £5, 4 years and below = £2. Cash or card payments accepted.
ð Official event t-shirts - these are available to purchase inside the sports hall on a first come first serve basis. £19 per T-shirt, cash or card payments accepted.
ð Competitors - Please pay attention to the ring schedule for your events and ensure that you have all the necessary equipment for sparring as well as uniform for competing.
ð Coaches - a Head Coach ðððð be assigned for each club, this coach should collect all entry bands on behalf of competitors and coaches for the club. Coaches must wear club attire and trainers.

VIRTUAL HEIGHT/WEIGHT CHECK PROCESS ð âïž
For those clubs who are using the virtual registration process with their students for the Scottish Cup, here is a video example of how the height/weight check for each competitor should be done:
1ïžâ£ Bow and state Full Name and Age
2ïžâ£ Step up/on to Height Measurer/Scales
3ïžâ£ Position the camera to show the reading clearly so that it can be recorded by event organiser
4ïžâ£ Confirm competitors divisions and registration
Please ensure you have the correct tools (height measurer & scales) available if youâre using the virtual registration with your students. Without these, the registration will not be valid.
âïžPlease note: we will still be doing random spot checks for each club on the day of the event.âïž
We are still offering an in person registration at the venue on Saturday 16th March between 4pm-6pm. All clubs registered are welcome to attend that.

After receiving positive feedback on our virtual registration process last year, weâve decided to use it again this year.
Please note - we still have the in person registration option available as well.

VIRTUAL HEIGHT/WEIGHT CHECK PROCESS ð âïž For those clubs who are using the virtual registration process with their students for the Scottish Cup, here is a video example of how the height/weight check for each competitor should be done: 1ïžâ£ Bow and state Full Name and Age 2ïžâ£ Step up/on to Height Measurer/Scales 3ïžâ£ Position the camera to show the reading clearly so that it can be recorded by event organiser 4ïžâ£ Confirm competitors divisions and registration Please ensure you have the correct tools (height measurer & scales) available if youâre using the virtual registration with your students. Without these, the registration will not be valid. âïžPlease note: we will still be doing random spot checks for each club on the day of the event.âïž We are still offering an in person registration at the venue on Saturday 16th March between 4pm-6pm.
