Shannon and Ryan met in an interesting way. The parents of the two actually introduced them as they worked at Carleton University and asked for there children's assistance. It was from there the two began talking and went on there first date to Victoria Trattoria (Rip). When Ryan proposed he did it on a hike where Shannon apparently knew what was up. After 6 years Shannon said yes and the rest is history.

Thank you Shannon and Ryan for giving me the opportunity to be apart of your day. The friendship between you guys felt special and genuine and I felt privilaged to share this special day with you.

The last time I was at Aquatopia there were record heat waves outside and being in a greenhouse it was tough. If you have the option I would recommend getting this venue in the fall as its nice and cool and the inside still looks beautiful.

My favorite part of thing wedding was the speeches. The best man in particular delivered a very touching speech that stuck with me. You could feel the genuine love between all of the friends and parents.

When Megan and Matt messaged me she had mentioned that she was having a Halloween themed wedding and asked if I was down for that. My answer was a big YES!. Its not everyday you get to do a themed wedding so this was super cool to be apart of. Megan and Matt a long time ago threw friends but didn't actually talk until later down the road when Matt left some of his belongings at a friends party.

Megan had picked up the belongings and messaged Matt. They met up at Big Rig for a drink and the exchange of Matts belongings. After a fun afternoon together there official first date was at rock fest where they rocked out to Weezer and Atreyu (Megan's favorite band). A while later Matt invited Megan down to his family cottage and from that point he knew that she was the one that he wanted to marry.

My favorite part of this wedding was the themed reception décor. It also rained super heavy that day so it really added to the moody vibe of the wedding. The bridesmaid dresses were also black so that was a vibe in itself. I'm a big fan of black dresses it looks very chic and unique. One more thing that I have to mention is how they replaced the flower girl with a flower groomsmen, It was funny, unique and memorable.

I know this day meant a lot to Matt and Megan and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to witness there union and capture all the special moments that occurred.

Paddy and Krystal met back in 2012 during nursing school but actually only really started talking towards the end of there studies. This was another covid wedding where I only met the couple on the day of. However spending the day with them I got to see why these two mesh so well. From a creative stand point my favorite part about this wedding was the colors. Paddy's green suit and just the moody vibes of outside really gave me inspiration of how the color grade would come together. This was definitely a wedding I was excited to edit and I think it really came together :)

Matt and Ashley met at a dog park where the best man had introduced the two. In life and in family trauma Matt and Ashley have been together threw a lot and there relationship is strengthened and stood the test of time in the process. Filming this wedding I kept in mid the people that were present but also those that couldn't be there with us. Tyler was Ashley's younger brother and I never got the chance to meet him but it was clear that he was the life of the party type of character. In the video you can see Ashley holding a hat that Tyler used to wear. Inserting these little shots was important because I could see how important Tyler was to Ashley.

Moments like these remind me of the potential with wedding videos. I'm there for the wedding day itself capturing the bride and groom but its also important to be mindful of the people that have come to celebrate. Watching your wedding video years from now these people will stand out in your video as they age. Some will continue to grow with us and some may pass so I want to give people the opportunity to be able to look back and relive moments that they had with those people in there wedding video.

For me its more than the wedding day, its little details like this that make a wedding video timeless.

For me it was the way these two spoke about each other that had me struggling to decide what audio would be best to use because it was all good. This wedding day was perfect! Meeting Bronwyn and Craig for the first time on the wedding day felt like I've know them for years. I knew from the moment I did a storytelling session with Craig that There first look was going to be special. He had a lot to say about Bronwyn and not knowing them I was excited to meet her just from the way he spoke about her. This honestly isn't even the whole first look. They shared a lot of inside jokes and it was nice to watch. A running theme with the last few first looks I've done is the release of stress you see once they have this moment. There's no stress about the day running behind because all that mattered was the moment they were currently having. Its truly something special and I recommend it to settle nerves on the wedding day. Special shoutout to and making this day feel creatively adventurous they were super easy and candid to work with.

My first wedding downtown at the Chateau Laurier and it was a dream. Cristina and Antonio met at a bar and locked eyes. After a few dates Antonio knew she was the one when he discovered her mutual love for pizza and music which is pretty much what Antonio is all about. Antonio and Cristina actually messaged me a few weeks before there wedding because the videographer they booked cancelled on them (what a guy) but that's ok because we were meant to cross paths. The first time we met was at a Starbucks and we sat and spoke about music for 30mins before we ever talked about there wedding and that's when I knew we vibe. Antonio's and Cristinas love felt genuine and very natural on camera. It was super easy capturing them and I'm glad the stars aligned for us to work together.

Usually my thumbnail is a shot of the couple but there was something about the bridesmaids walking in the forest that I just loved the look of. Jordann + Scott had a backyard wedding but you would never be able to tell because the set up was amazing. If covid has taught me anything is that backyard weddings still have potential to be great and lavish. The interesting part about there short film is that they didn't want to do the part where they speak on camera which is a staple of what I do but I was up for the challenge. Stay tuned for the full film.

Fun fact before Jordann and Scott first reached out I wasn't sure if I would take a wedding on this date because it was the day after my brothers wedding but I woke up early that morning and made the 3hr drive from Peterborough and I'm glad I did. The sky was clear and the sunset was perfect for some drone shots and magic hour shots. The rustic colors just added to the whole vibe and I loved every minute of it.

My only regret with this wedding is that I didn't get to spend the entire day with and . Based on Phil's vows I know there first look was magical. The chemistry these two share was very evident and it gave me shivers when he whimpered for a second and said "you're my best friend". It felt genuine, because of covid and this being a wedding I picked up last minute I didn't get to know the couple as well as I would have liked but once I did it felt like I knew them for years. Ayesha and Phil I wanted to share this before you left your little vaca, cant wait to show you the full wedding film. Lastly shoutout to for putting my name out there.

is a photographer that I discovered when I moved here in 2019. Her style was intimate yet minimal and it just spoke to me. Back in June mentioned that she was doing a styled shoot downtown Ottawa.

Being new to the city and just getting out of the brutal covid restrictions I reached out to join her and do some video. Back in 2018 I met Katie working at Henrys Camera store. When she told me about her then boyfriend Dustin I said in a joking manner (but I wasn't joking) I call dibs on your wedding video. Although between now and then I had moved my business and life to Ottawa I stayed true to my original plan and man was it worth it. Katie and Dustin are both creatives which gave me the ability to really explore different things during the wedding day. I will always recommend a first look because it really gives the couple a chance to calm all the nerves before the ceremony. It's also a nice moment to just check in with your significant other to say how the day has been going.

Emma and Danny, this was a long time coming and I'm so happy that you trusted me to document your special day. Due to covid I never actually met Danny in person before the wedding but just hearing him talk about Emma gave me literal chills (the good ones). These two have a special bond and it really came out to me when they spoke about each other.
Also totally unrelated but this was my first time in Montreal and I got lost twice during the photo session (the street directions are crazy). I also randomly bumped into Toronto based wedding videographer which was super random lol. All in all this wedding was a great experience

Brad and Cortnie have so much history and a lot of it was evident during the wedding day when Cortnie would read letters that she wrote to multiple family members. It was hard to decide on the narrative for this one but I'm so glad I got to witness this day play out. thank you for trusting me to document this special day. First of all!! It was crazy cold on this wedding day! When creating the intro for Jason and Clara's wedding film I recalled hearing the bridal party sing a song during the ceremony and it stuck out to me and I thought it was special. The first 30 seconds of any wedding film is important to me and the goal here was to use the song in a way that would stand out. Jason also talking made it all have this fairytale vibe which kind of fit the venue we were at as well. Shoutout to the the Gutaskas family for harmonizing so effortlessly for this magical intro

Soooooo! I came to the realization that I launched my new brand and never introduced myself on here. For those that dont know my name is Damian Armstrong and I am the lead videographer behind North Park Films.

I am a future hubby, father of my little potato Chance and our 8yr old dog Dexter. The name North Park Films stems from my own story. A story about a boy who was crazy about this one girl that he met on North Park Street at the age of 10yrs old. 10 years later we became a thing (we dated as kids but who's counting that) we had a kid and the rest is just history in the making.

My goal is to give you your own North Park Film that is timeless and unique. No couple has the same story to tell. At North Park Films your wedding film is not just about the big day it's about your legacy. 😎

When we first spoke to Mary she knew she wanted us at her wedding. After months and months back and forth with emails, It's hard to believe that our first time meeting in person was actually at the wedding yet it felt like we were friends forever. We love couples that want their story told and when Mary listed off every little thing that mattered to her we took note. The best part about this wedding was the venue Earth To Table Farm. It's a farm that a couple turned into a wedding venue. The wedding chapel is outdoor and the barn they turned into a reception hall and its also portrait friendly so that will save you a trip. On a sunny day with blue skies, Earth To Table Farm is an ideal venue if you're looking to have an outdoor wedding out in the country that's not too far from the city.

Simone and Dieter met in sunny Cuba when they were just teenagers. Simone's family was playing volleyball and Dieter approached them to play. At the time Dieter met Simone's brother and they became best friends from that point on. Years later Dieter took a chance and asked his best friends sister Simone out and the rest is history.

Simone and Dieter approached us and mentioned that they wanted to do there photo session on a hiking trail, down a steep slope leading to a waterfall. Needless to say, we were down for that adventure and it paid off.

When Christian and Melissa met Melissa was determined that they were going to be friends. When asked where they wanted to do their engagement shoot them mentioned rattlesnake. They told us an interesting story where they got lost on this trail and almost didint make it out as it got dark. Spoiler alert* They made it out :D

"He knows I love lights and I just always thought that the perfect way for him to propose would be in the form of a private magic show"

Dunstan and Charlini's wedding took place at the beautiful Madsens Greenhouse in Newmarket Ontario. From the day we met Dunstan and Charlini we started piecing together shots and ideas based on there story for there wedding film. Its not everyday a groom tells you that hes a magician so we took full advantage in making this wedding film feel like magic or like a fairy tale. In the first few seconds of this film you can see Dunstan proposing to Charlini in the form of a personal magic show. Dunstan set this up by blindfolding Charlini and leading her down a path to a tent set up with lights "she loves lights". When they arrived to the tent Dunstan removed her blindfold and surprised her with a gutarist and a ring. Dunstan gets major hubby points for creating an environment like that for a proposal, it's so dreamy we just had to include it in the highlight film :). We highly recommend Madsen's greenhouse to anybody who's looking for a venue that's unique and aesthetically pleasing. Check out there full highlight video

Raj and Jane met working at Bell back in 2013. Their first date consisted of good food and long conversations in Jane's car (those are the best). This wedding feels personal as I have actually known Raj and Jane from when they met at Bell. It was truly an honor to document this moment and to just be able to see them come to this milestone.
