Despite poor Denise Osler Briden being whacked with the sick stick (and me too now) she came along last night anyway, and just after midnight the whole pub sang happy birthday to her 🥰

So although we're both plague victims, happy birthday to my wonderful fiancee 😘 you've come so far with singing, and i can't wait to marry you this year! I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️

Well, last night was AMAZING! Highlight was a load of 20 somethings going MENTAL for the Artic Monkeys 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor' which was hilarious! Absolutely brilliant night!

As we head towards the end of 2024, it's been quite a year! We've had some AMAZING gigs, and Denise Osler Briden has come on in leaps and bounds with her singing. Standing up in front of a room full of strangers singing is tough enough, but to come from no experience to backing me and singing her own stuff in just over a year, and do it WELL, is amazing. It takes a LOT of courage, and I'm VERY proud of her.

Another lady I'm very proud of is my daughter Char Martin. Not only has she and her partner Gary given me four BEAUTIFUL grandchildren, but she's also taken on her nephew who was having trouble at home, which added to his type 1 diabetes is no easy task. As well as all that she gets up at 2.30am and goes to work before coming home to do the school run. She is truly astonishing, and I'm very proud to call her mine.

Next year I will marry Dee, and two of the loveliest people it's ever been my privilege to know, Nicola Andrews and Martin Andrews will be matron of honour and best man. I can't wait!
