arlon and benjamin decided to bring this race back on a tight turnaround- literally seven weeks- because we know the intrinsic good a great bike ride brings and sharing that brings great joy. together we’ve served a combined ten thousand riders at events, and we’re looking forward to serving many more (we reserve the right to reevaluate every ten thousand 😉) we have many more weeks now to prepare, and we couldn’t have done it without you- THANK YOU FOR COMING TO OUR BIKE PARTY

we got one more event post! afterwards, our social will switch to out to outdoor and town of the mountain and the town of warner. Arlon and Benjamin are big fans of where they live, and they want to keep growing warner and New Hampshire as an idyllic bike destination! we’ll ramp up hillclimb focus as race day approaches. until then, lots of tree and rock and snack pictures to come! plus a few memes, as a treat

What a fantastic day for the comeback of MKHC - Mount Kearsarge Hill Climb!

incidentally, the mens podium was 2/3 of the weekend with ‘s yesterday! we love riders that took up this challenge of two back-to-back races 😎 well done!

Cafe One East opens at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow but we will have their iced cold brew coffee and fresh biscotti waiting for riders at check-in, 6:30 to 8:00 a.m.
After 8:00 a.m., the cafe and porch are reserved for patrons. Our after party will be on the cafe lawn.

Dennise Maslakowski Primes: $100 each will be awarded to the first Woman and first Man to reach the Rollins Park entrance (before the access road rotary). Each prime winner must also reach the finish line in under 60 minutes from the race start time.
These primes were a feature at many past editions of the MKHC race and the former RD ask that we continue the tradition!

When it's not your day, it's not your day.
We will have this sign one mile from the summit and a course advisor in the sweep vehicle .
We made this clear on the race website and BikeReg Event Notes and we're reminding you again here: Riders must reach the Finish within 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Start roll-off time or their results may not be recorded and they may be turned around before the Finish line.
This is due to route safety concerns and access road time constraints. Thank you for your understanding!

ITS IRVIN!!! the former race director, checking in on benjamin to make sure the event has enough of the classic features. yes there will still be a prize for whoever wins the gate rotary holeshot (in honor of irvin’s late wife!) and for the fastest combined segment times on strava between the hill climb and the hosted the day before by ! make it a new hampshire double of a weekend, irvin will be v excited to see everyone’s stravas! 📈😎

Nice pic, Jen! She knows that low gear is required on some of the climbs but there are some lighter grades and even a downhill on the way up!

General reminder that on race day we will race straight through the toll! No stopping, the special part of racing MKHC is your fee goes towards the gate fee! Which goes towards NH State Parks! You get a fast time up and State Parks get funded!

New pavement all the way to the top! This means smooth rolling for MKHC - Mount Kearsarge Hill Climb racers.
A couple of years ago, the state paved the first mile or so of Kearsarge Mountain Road (KMR) from downtown Warner. Earlier this season, they paved the remainder of KMR, past the tollhouse and all the way up the access road to the parking lot. Pictures from this morning. Butter!

The Mount Kearsarge Hill Climb is back! Last held in 2019, we're bringing is back better than ever - join us on August 13, 2023!

The Mt. Kearsarge Hill Climb features a challenging climb up one of the tallest peaks in NH. Initially held in 2013, this was an annual event through 2019. After a pandemic-induced hiatus the event is being brought back!
