Good Things Come In Small Packages

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Madelyn Ortiz the Owner and Floral Designer of Oopsy Daisy. I’m a mom to a one year old boy and expecting another baby September 2020. Being able to keep my kids home with me and do something I was passionate about has always been a dream of mine. As I’ve become more comfortable in myself, my faith and my goals in life I decided to make my dream a reality. Flowers have been a passion of mine for many years and after careful consideration on who and what I wanted to be I made the leap to start my own out of home floral shop. Being under 5ft tall my whole life I never let anything get in my way of what I wanted even when people said I couldn’t do it. While height may not apply to me starting a floral shop I do still believe good things come in small packages. Oopsy Daisy may be a small in home floral shop now but I have big dreams and goals for it. Hopefully one day we will make it to our own little storefront but for now I strive to provide people with beautiful and creative arrangements that bring smiles to peoples faces. While there are many flower shops in surrounding areas near me there are few in Dickinson and I’m proud to say I’m now one of them. I hope to be able to flourish in this community and time when we have begun to value small businesses so greatly. Here’s to the start of something new and to bringing smiles to you on what I’m sure will be a crazy amazing ride. I’m so grateful for this opportunity in my life and I thank you all for your support of my flowering new floral shop.
