When I was researching trending themes for baby showers and birthdays, I came up with cute little baby bee design and I just LOVE it! The colors are so modern in muted pink and yellow, and the decorated floral letters are bang on trend. The trendy script typography really adds a special touch, and the back of the card, decorated with an all-over yellow bee pattern is just adorable!

Feeling a little nostalgic today, so I thought I'd share a quick on my evolution as a wedding invitation designer. 🥰

When I started on Zazzle in 2017, I was completely overwhelmed! I've always been one who needs someone to guide me through learning something, I can't just sit with it and figure it out (that would be my husband!) But even WHEN I took a wedding invitation design course, it literally took me an entire WEEK of full-time work, trying to create a wedding invitation suite that I liked.

Here is 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, and to my amazement, it has actually sold a couple times!

Fast forward to 2020, and I did another wedding invitation design course, this time taught by a high-end calligrapher, who taught an entire design process, not just how to use the Zazzle Design Tool. I just wanted to take my designs to the next level, and I was really happy to learn her process. I actually designed my own wedding invitations, and was completely amazed at how they turned out!

𝐌𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬!

But it's very different creating a custom design versus creating a template design on Zazzle, as all the text layers need to be edited by the customer to suit their wedding, but I have found the design process I learned to be very valuable and I am super happy with all the beautiful wedding invitations that I'm creating now for Zazzle as a result of what I've learned, and every now and again I find an email from Zazzle telling me that they've awarded an editor's pick to another one of my designs!
