Stone Hill Barn was an absolutely gorgeous venue in Augusta KS!! If you live in the Wichita or El Dorado area you should look into this venue for your wedding!

Zoo Brew...A Night in the Wild! Fun and Entertainment and raising funds for the Emporia Zoo. Brickhorse will play from 5:30-7:30pm, drinks served by Radius Brewing, Trolley House Distillery and the Turquoise Tavern. Topped off by a dinner catered by Gourmet 2 Go! Tickets are$50/person. Some things I would like to address because it has been happening a lot and they may be things that are not thought about if you aren’t in the bar business:

-If you hire a bar service there should be no other alcohol allowed in to the event except that of the bar service you hired

Reasons Why:

-we are responsible for the amount of alcohol consumed by the guests and the only way to control responsible drinking is to have the ability to cut off people where necessary to protect them and others out on the road if they choose to drive

-we work under a liquor license so if someone over serves themselves with what they bring and then get in a wreck and kill someone or themselves I could be held responsible for over serving even though I didn’t serve them and would have to try and prove myself in court

-we cannot control underage drinking if we cannot check IDs for everyone that is drinking and I could lose my license

-I spend money on the alcohol I am bringing to sell at your event and there is nothing worse than looking out at a crowd where people aren’t coming to purchase drinks and watching them drinking their own alcohol

-Myself and the bartenders I have working for me come to these events and we work for tips so if your guests aren’t coming to get drinks and tipping it is a waste of time for us as a business (also please make sure your guests are tipping)

- It takes hours to set up a bar and provide ice, cups, straws, mixers, etc.

If The Turquoise Tavern is hired and we see alcohol that is not ours at the event we reserve the right to tell them to please take it back out to their vehicle or we will pull service from the event with full payment of the hired hours still needing to be paid.

You can still provide the alcohol we serve but we will need to be the only ones serving your alcohol and guests will still not be allowed to bring their own!

We also don’t do large troughs or containers that allow guests to get their own beers if we are providing a service for the reasons listed above!
