We are only 2 weeks into 2024 and already, thanks to your support, we are off to a flying start. This weekend we have provided a total of 6 suppliers across 4 different events back to back in 2 days. Friday: * Britain’s got talent finalist in a beautiful restaurant in Walton on the Hill, Surrey * 2 fabulous stilt walkers and a 360 degree photobooth for The Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London Saturday: * X Factor finalist in a cosy beach club in Bognor, West Sussex * STARSTRUCK finalist in a stunning whiskey & gin private members club in Ashtead, Surrey with an appearance from our good friend Bobby Davro. We pride ourselves in making top quality acts accessible to all venues, whether its a pub/ club/ restaurant or hotel/ golf club/ private members club. Enabling each venue to reach its profitable targets with every booking. The past 11 days our Director Wayne Woodward has been in hospital. He went in last Monday in agonising pain for the doctors to find an abnormality on his pancreas. After keeping him in overnight and managing the pain, they sent him away on Tuesday with pain killers, with plans for him to go back for an ultrasound and endoscopy. By Thursday Wayne was hit with another wall of pain and was rushed strait back in. After a quick blood test, the results showed a spike in enzymes suggesting an issue with his liver. His skin and eyes turnt yellow and Jaundice had set in. The doctors expected these issues to be caused by a gallstone creating a blockage. Wayne was rushed down for an operation. The plan was to insert a stent into the tubes exiting his gallbladder and make an incision so it could drain and hopefully allow the stones to pass. The next few days in hospital was hard. Walking became nearly impossible and he would go the next 3 days without eating. Seeing something wasn’t right, the doctor called for another CT scan. We was told the surgeons had lost a stent inside his body during the procedure and it has now been found inside the bowel. If it can’t pass naturally it will need to be surgically removed. Once this issue is sorted they will be operating to remove the gallbladder completely in hope that it should relieve the pain he has been living with for some time now. So it looks like we may have abit of a journey ahead of us. Wayne was devastated that he was unable to attend the Mayor’s Charity Gala dinner. However, through the power of SwingKing Entertainment we were able to supply, as promised, a replacement of the same level and quality if not better within minutes and not only did they raise a substantial amount of money for the Mayor’s charities, everybody had a ball.
