Wedding photos that feel like a still out of a romcom please..

Please please know when golden hour will be on your wedding day and sneak away with your partner for photos.

You will NEVER regret it. We snuck out during dinner just before our first dance and captured some of my favorite photos.

Fun fact - if you have your wedding photographer for long enough, you can also look up what phase of the moon you’ll have on your wedding night & capture some really moody pics too!

✨File this under reception table inspiration✨

Question for my wedding photographers, what is this style of lighting/shot called!?

We were looking through our full wedding gallery and these photos were immediately our favorites. There’s something so dreamy and artsy about all of the shadows.

File this one under fun, colorful, bouncy, airy wedding floral inspo.

This one is for all my spring and summer brides!

Our inspiration was a colorful Italian garden party with lots of texture and bounce, and our floral team DELIVERED.

Full disclosure, we ended up spending around $8,300 on floral including set up, delivery, design, and tear down so hopefully this helps manage expectations for my fellow Maine area couples!

For a sizing breakdown, our head table was made up of two eight foot tables. Our arrangements on these tables were each one foot long and we had three on each table to create the look of a floral runner.

Our round tables were 72” rounds and each floral centerpiece was made to cascade and overflow from a 6” low white ceramic bowl. We also rented all of our vessels from our floral team too, which was included in pricing.

For tent greenery, TBH I just told them to make it look nice since I wasn’t loving the idea of having a tent. It did end up being the best idea though. They focused the greenery along the guest facing full length of the tent and inside the tent over the reception tables.

Posting breakdowns like these is to help manage expectations and offer more insight into where wedding budget goes.

I’m happy to offer any additional answers 🤍✨

Kicking off January with some save the date and wedding invitation suite inspiration!

Since our wedding was a destination wedding for 90% of our guests (including my husband and me) we wanted to play on the travel aspect of that!

My vision was the old vintage travel brochures that you used to see in gas stations and restaurants stops.

We wanted to highlight the area, our wedding weekend schedule, our wedding venue map, and be super cute at the same time duh.

Jared created the brochure, used our wedding font family so everything was cohesive, and used our wedding logo that he created.

I crafted our rehearsal dinner invitation inserts to resemble the little tree air fresheners that you hang from your rear view mirror (a nod to all the travel). The backside of the trees had our wedding logo as well.

Our save the dates were vintage inspired postcards for the town of Sebago with a little blurb about why we chose the area. We mailed those out in clear postcard envelopes and added vintage main lighthouse stamps.

All in all, this is one detail that I’m obsessed with and would do again and again!

LMK if you’d be interested in purchasing this as a template and I can see what Jared can do 🤍

New Year, new introduction!

*for those of you that don’t know me*

Here’s a bit more about me, my life, things that I enjoy, and what makes me tick.

I love putting names and faces and fun facts to the numbers so feel free to introduce yourselves 🤍

- I’m an Aries (April 13th). Shoutout to all of my fellow occasional Friday the 13th birthdays.
- I’m an INFJ
- I’m a middle child
- I’m a natural redhead
- We’re Taylor swift stans over here and I got to take my little sister to the eras tour this year.
- I grew up in West Virginia and must stop every time I hear country roads…IYKYK
- I’m a sucker for sentimental moments, gifts, life occurrences and am usually the first to cry. Also, if you’re crying, I’m crying. Shoutout to my fellow empaths.
- I’m a pretty picky eater and hate foods that I’ve deemed have weird textures (raw fish, mushrooms, fatty steaks). I’m sure there’s a diagnosis in here somewhere…
- I was in a sorority in college. LITB
- Our welsh springer spaniel Millie is my pride and joy.
- Our honeymoon was the first time I’ve ever been to Italy and I LOVED IT. I think I lived in Europe in a past life.
- I’ll be the first on the dance floor and the last one off. I can’t dance whatsoever even though I grew up competing in cheer and gymnastics and dance…
- I don’t think that just because someone has a following on social media that they signed up to get rude comments. You can catch me in my comment section on any given day proving this.
- I got married this year, and we’ve been together since 2019.
- I’m very direct and typically know exactly what I want. Yes I’ve been called stubborn a few times in life..

This year I’ll be sharing lots more wedding and relationship content that centers around budgeting since I think that is more important than ever.

Anything else you want to know or what me to know about you!?

In case you’re shopping for bridesmaids dresses this Black Friday, here’s some inspo!

I told my bridesmaids:
- to pick a color from our wedding colors
- buy or wear something that they felt comfortable in and could dance in (duh)
- look hot and not feel the need to purchase a traditional bridesmaid dress

Since I didn’t police what they wore as a bridesmaid dress, what shoes they chose, or how they did their hair and makeup I made sure to gift them their jewelry and picked neutral flowers as their bridesmaids bouquets. This way the look was still cohesive while not being uniform.

Whether you’re purchasing your own bridesmaid dress or are a bride purchasing the dresses, here are some Black Friday deals!

- up to 75% off
- dresses starting at $79
- an extra 30% off with code NOV30

POV you hired a documentary style wedding photographer & you can FEEL your wedding photos 😭

Part 2! Here’s a little break down of what’s happening in each photo.

Photo 1 - we snuck away to the dock on the lake halfway through dinner.

Photo 2 - we were walking and singing the s*x and the city intro music and trying to shake off nerves before my first look.

Photo 3 - my little sister and mother in law watching my first look with Jared. Definitely another top photo fave of mine.

Photo 4 - this a candid during our Hora dance. Again I don’t even remember our photographer being there in this moment, I just love this shot.

Photo 5 - Jared and I entering our ceremony together. I didn’t know that our co best man was helping with my veil until I saw this photo.

Photo 6 - me walking down the aisle with my dad to my first look with Jared. Fun fact I walked down the aisle to best day ever by Mac miller.

Photo 7 - my sister walking me to my first look with our dad. Another fun fact, she’s pregnant with a girl and as we walked to my dad I heard him whisper “my girls” and about lost it.

Photo 8 - me and my little sister doing touch ups. I didn’t care to have the perfect aesthetic getting ready photos so we have lots of real girlhood moments like sitting on the floor in front of this mirror.

Photo 9 - Jared and I talking about who knows what again not posing. We made a pact to stay together all day no matter who we were talking to and this really helped since we opted for a more candid photography approach.

Again, the majority of these photos are not staged, posed, or prompted and that’s exactly what we wanted out of our wedding photos. We were able to be so present and enjoy the day. LOTS MORE TO COME 🍾

POV you hired a documentary style wedding photographer & you can FEEL your wedding photos 😭

Part 1 because there’s so many. Here’s a little break down of what’s happening in each photo.

Photo 1 - we had just finished the ceremony and were making our recessional back down the aisle but decided to turn around and watch our wedding party and guests exit too.

Photo 2 - right before both of my first looks. My dad faced me and I walked to him. My fiance is standing with his back to us. After my first look with my dad we played my aisle entrance song and Jared turned around. I walked down the aisle with my dad to my first look with Jared. One of my top photos for sure.

Photo 3 - lol Maine summer weddings outside mean lots of bugs in my cathedral length veil.

Photo 4 - we had just finished pre ceremony group photos and were waiting for guests to start arriving. I had no idea our photographer was even there or who I’m looking at but I love this shot too.

Photo 5 - our photo tunnel guest book that our guests walked through to get to dinner. A nod to all the love stories before us and a reminder that every decision we made brought us to that day.

Photo 6 - my dad, Jared, and I at the altar during our first look.

Photo 7 - Jared and his younger brother getting ready for the day after Jared gave his groomsmen their cards.

Photo 8 - my dad and I during our father daughter dance.

Photo 9 - Jared’s parents dancing during the reception. They celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary that same weekend.

The majority of these photos are not staged, posed, or prompted and that’s exactly what we wanted out of our wedding photos. We were able to be so present and enjoy the day. LOTS MORE TO COME 🍾
