I absolutely love that I can be a part of a couples wedding ceremony. Guiding them through, while they create their own custom vows and ceremony. My calendar is pretty open so if you want a laid back, anytime( middle of the day or middle of the night) anywhere (mountain top, Sandy beach or middle of town) wedding with an easy going, no stress, non-traditional celebrant then hit me up.

Gosh that was a first for me, lucky number 7 wedding and the bride was a little late. By about 2 hours and 15 mins 😱😱😱😱 though we got there in the end and Coralee Povey looked absolutely stunning. The groom and groomsmen scrubbed up pretty bloody well too. The ceremony had a few good laughs and definitely a lot of love.

Well, this adventure of me becoming an Independent marriage and Civil Union Celebrant started about this time 5 years ago.
Since then, some people that were friends have become our family, some have fallen by the way and those that started out as strangers have become good friends.
It's fair to say the Celebrant journey so far, has on the most part, been truly amazing.
Thank you so much to those of you that have had the faith in me to include me in one of the most important and special days of your lives. 💜💜

Northland will move to Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm tonight. Auckland remains at Alert Level 4. The rest of New Zealand stays at Alert Level 3.

A reminder that at Alert Level 3, the risk of COVID-19 in the community remains high. Here are the golden rules:

⏺️ Keep your bubble as small as possible. If you need to, you can expand your bubble to bring in close family, isolated people or caregivers.
⏺️ Whenever you leave the house, you should wear a face covering. This is mandatory when entering a business or service currently open at Alert Level 3.
⏺️ Continue to work or learn from home and keep children at home with you, if possible.
⏺️ Travel between regions is restricted. If travelling between different level areas, then evidence of approved travel is required.
⏺️ Businesses involving physical contact cannot open. Support continues to be available for people and businesses affected by COVID-19.
⏺️ Gatherings are strictly limited. Funerals and wedding ceremonies are restricted to 10 people.
⏺️ Two-metre distancing, face coverings and record keeping are required at all permitted gatherings.
⏺️ Keep scanning QR codes, and make sure you have Bluetooth turned on in the app and on your phone.

Hey all you gorgeous souls out there.
Just though I'd better get a message up here about weddings and what can and can not happen while we are in lockdown.
Here is the message that all celebrants received.

Message from the
Registrar-General
Tēnā koe – hello.

I am suspending the issuing of marriage and civil union licences while all of New Zealand is at Alert Level 4.

Couples can still give notice of their intended marriage but licences will only be issued if there are exceptional circumstances (such as deathbed weddings).

Marriage licences that have already been issued remain valid but cannot be used during Alert Level 4, unless all parties including the witnesses and celebrant are in the same bubble (very unlikely).

We will notify you of any changes to the issue of marriage licences through this newsletter.

Well... What an amazing and tiring time away.
Thanks James N Sharl for letting us stay in your home, we felt like we were in our own home the minute we walked in the door. Such a nice feel to Your whare.
A Saturday morning exploring the main street of Taihape with mum, Jenny Vincent and then back to get ready for my duties as Celebrant - Cherie Buchanan for my cousin Moss and his gorgeous fiance (wife) Sharl.
Jacqueline Mosen you looked amazing, as did the entire bridal party, super stunning.
Sharl... Ya looked gorgeous hunni.
This is the first wedding I have been celebrant for that I have had to hold my emotions in check. The amount of love in that room was simply amazing.
Sorry I didn't get to stay longer at the reception, I had been a little unwell for a few days and was grateful we had your home to be able to rest. It would've been nice to get to know more of the whanau that were there.
I wish you both every happiness and great adventures...
Can't wait to see you all here in Taranaki when you come to stay at my whare.
