To all my newlyweds and future married couples-
These are the conversations you get to look forward to. 😉

On the phone with my husband last night and I said:
“I really want a Turtle Sundae.” 🍨

He immediately says, “No you don’t. You might think you do but that’s way too messy.”

🤷🏼‍♀️ “What? They’re not any messier than…”

He cuts me off with:
“No. No. We’d have to get an entire enclosure and it’s going to start to stink.”

I just start bursting laughing…

But he keeps on: “You won’t be laughing when you have a stinky house. You would never.”

I’m dying at this point. 😂😂😂

Him, completely serious: “I don’t think you realize…”

Me (once I could breathe again): “Ice cream! Vanilla ice cream, caramel, hot fudge, and pecans.”

… silence…

Then he starts laughing, hard.

“I thought you said you wanted a turtle someday.” 🐢

I am so so so happy for Angela and Shannon!

Marrying them at The Fox Club - Wisconsin Timber Rattlers yesterday was one of my favorite days at a ballpark! ⚾️

Joining them as husband and wife (as well as Kaleb, Hailey, and Olivia as siblings)
was the best! 💕

I know this family will be so happy and I can’t wait to hear about all their many wonderful adventures in the coming years.

Sometimes you meet perfect strangers that seem like instant friends and I’m so happy I could have that front row “seat” to their first moments as Husband & Wife! It sure was a pleasure!!🥰

Also, their Cocktail Hour Old Fashioned fountains sure were a HOMERUN! 🍹 So fun!

Oh my goodness, how GREAT is this makeup bag?

I will be marrying Angela & Shannon later today and she had this in a gift bag for me at last night’s rehearsal. 💕💕💕

Angela and I both love watching Dateline and our most favorite guy (besides my husband and her soon-to-be husband is Keith Morrison!)

When I met them to plan their wedding, I asked about their hobbies and things they like to do together and individually. Shannon laughed and said, “Well, she just likes to watch all those true crime murder shows.”

My eyes instantly lit up and I asked Angela, “Do you watch Friday Night Dateline?”

And be still my heart, she said- “Love it! 🩷Keith Morrison is the best!”

So long after the wedding, if Shannon ever wants to hang with his groomsmen again on a Friday night, I’m inviting Angela over to watch our Dateline Man!!😂🍿😂🍷

On this rainy Sunday, my coffee tastes extra sweet thanks to yesterday’s wedding couple!

Among all their planning and prepping for the big day, the fact that they thought this much of me makes me get teared up.

I try (and 99.9% of the time succeed) to keep all my sentimental emotions “all dead inside” 😂 for the duration of the ceremony so I don’t start crying in the middle. But boy oh boy, afterward…

When couples are this sweet, yeah… I cry and sip coffee! 🥰🤗🥺

Aww! Thank you, Dayna! When busy newlyweds take time out of their day to leave such a sweet review, I appreciate it so much.

I agree that so many great vendors made the Bride & Groom's day fantastic. It was so nice meeting some of them for the first time and seeing other familiar faces! Black Sheep is always one of my favorite places to officiate! Will from Elite Music Service was great and I hope to work with him again! And Maple Hope Photography was so nice and I can't wait to see the pictures! Laid back, no stress, and a sweetheart!

What a wonderful day and I'm so glad that Dayna & Scott enjoyed it from top to bottom!

Dayna & Scott's wedding has set the bar high for most memorable moments! 💕

First, it was the windiest ceremony I have ever officiated. At times, I was worried our beautiful bride was going to blow away! { That's not an exaggeration!! } They always say rain on your wedding day is good luck...but...
I think surviving that wind means calm, smooth sailing for the rest of their days as Husband & Wife!

Second, Best Man Logan gave the cutest speech for his best friend and new bride!
He ended by asking everyone to raise their glasses for Scott & Dayna and toasted them with:
"Some ships are wood ships and those ships may sink. But the best ships are Friend Ships and to those ships, we drink!"

I know Dayna & Scott are surrounded by the sweetest friends, sweetest family, and three lucky doggies. Their personal vows were so sincere. Their love story was priceless. And their marriage will be wonderful. I'm so glad I was there for the very first moments of it! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs! 💕

Congratulations to Tori & Nick! What a sweet couple and a beautiful day for a wedding at Black Sheep! 💕

I’m so happy for them for finding each other and falling in love. After our first planning meeting, I fell in love with them, too! They’re total sweethearts and they love reading true crime and mystery novels, too. So, I mean… perfection.😁

Their two dogs were part of the ceremony and were “the bestest wittle good boyyyys”🐾

May they have a long and happy marriage together (and I know they will)💕

Sometimes, things are just meant to be...

Once upon a time, a beautiful gal named Megan wrote upon a lantern: "I wish for a man... and a dog would be nice, too." Then she sent that out into the universe.

Before she knew it, her prayers were answered. She met her handsome husband, Dylan. And she got not just one furbaby, but two! 💕🐾

I think whatever brought them together also led them to me. I have enjoyed getting to know them so much and I loved being their officiant.

Life sometimes doesn't work out the way we'd hoped... and then other times it works out so much better than we could have imagined.

Congratulations to Megan and Dylan. 💕 With their best friends Danielle and Austin by their sides, they said "I Do" at The Grain Loft on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I know they'll have such a great marriage and I look forward to keeping in touch with them to hear all about it!

I love officiating weddings. It first happened many years ago for my cousin. It was meant to be just a favor to her and her fiancé. A one time thing.

But fast forward, many years and many, many weddings later and I just had the chance to officiate for another cousin.

Family weddings will always be my favorite- because I really love my family.
Family weddings are also the hardest to officiate- because, well… I really love my family.

It's hard enough to keep it together and not shed sentimental tears for those couples I’ve just met, but I do. It’s my job. I want to give them the best ceremony ever.
It’s REALLY hard to keep it together for all my cousins. Because they are some of my favorite people in the world.

Congratulations to Katie and welcome to our family, Eric. Your day was picture perfect. Your marriage will be even better than that. I just know it. Thank you for choosing me to marry you two sweethearts. I love you so much!!

Just a friendly reminder that postage goes up on Sunday. So you might want to stock up on some Forever Stamps (especially if you have Thank You notes or invitations to send anytime soon).

The price for a first-class Forever postage stamp is currently 68-cents and will bump up to 73-cents on July 14th. It doesn’t seem like a big hike if you’re just mailing one birthday card. But if you’re sending out a ton of envelopes (like for a wedding), that will add up. There's the wedding officiant in me always thinking ahead for you!

Let’s say you’re sending out 100 invites to your wedding. But you start with Save The Dates, then the invitations, then you pre-stamp the RSVPs, then you send Thank You notes after.

If you buy all the stamps now before the increase:
Save the Dates- 100 x .68 = $68
Invites & Pre-Stamped RSVPs- 200 x .68 = $136
Thank You’s- 100 x .68 = $68
GRAND TOTAL: $272.00

If you wait until the price goes up, you’ll be paying $292.00 for the same amount of stamps. That’s a $20 savings. And why not? Better to keep that $20 in your pocket by planning ahead!
