Hi, flower friends! 🌸 I’m Stephanie, the founder of Fern Cottage Florals. 🦢✨I wanted to share a bit about myself and my floral journey thus far!

🌼 My background is in marketing and editorials for two different industries: lifestyle/entertainment and healthcare. It’s been rewarding to learn about the distinct marketing approaches in these fields.

🌼 I’ve always valued and admired fresh flowers. During the pandemic, I found myself pouring a lot of time and energy in learning more about flowers and developing my arranging skills. By 2023, it only felt natural to pursue floristry as a business given that it combined the creativity I yearned for in relation to flowers and marketing.

🌼 I live in Redlands with my husband and my sweet cat named Lemon.🐈 When away from work, I enjoy hunting for treasures in antique shops, sipping wine with friends, trying new restaurants, playing tennis and running.

Happy Earth Day! 💙🌿As a business, we’re always striving to reduce our carbon footprint. A few of our sustainability efforts include:

🌎 Using reusable materials like chicken wire or floral frogs as the supporting structure in our floral arrangements, rather than one-time use floral foam.

🌎 Separating solid, recycling and green waste in our studio as we process flowers and hard goods.

🌎 Rather than discarding leftover water, we reuse it to water our gardens.

🌎 Using seasonally available and locally grown flowers and greenery whenever possible.

Our floral workshops teach you how to incorporate environmentally friendly mechanics when designing floral arrangements. We use chicken wire as a substitute for floral foam because it’s reusable and recyclable as opposed to floral foam’s one time use that ends up in landfills.

Past floral workshop participants will get $10 off our Mother’s Day Workshop, if they bring the vase and chicken wire that was used in previous classes to use in the upcoming workshop. This initiative helps support our sustainability efforts by reusing materials and reducing waste.
