🎉 It’s my 33rd birthday! And apparently, January 23 is scientifically the happiest birthday. (Yes, I saw it on YouTube, so it must be true.) Coincidence? I think not.

I know I’ve been MIA here for a while, but consider this selfie my reintroduction to the Ope the Officiant magic. I am looking forward to all the amazing experiences this year will bring.

I practiced your names, last name, and even that cousin with the unique way to spell Ashley (you know the one).

I’ve counted down the days with you, feeling your excitement through every check-in.

I have 30 minutes to deliver a ceremony that’s unforgettable, unique, and have your guests saying, “Wow, that was so them.”

I’ll walk away with one heartfelt hug for every tear, laugh, and moment shared.

Wedding MBA 2024 was a trip full of firsts:

✨ First time attending

✨ First time in Las Vegas

✨ First time meeting and hearing speak (truly unforgettable!)

✨ First time meeting Mark Allan Groleau () and sharing an amazing dinner with other Unboring Wedding Officiants

✨ First time meeting the one-of-a-kind,

✨ Frist time pronouncing newly-weds as a GROUP!

The beautiful thing about firsts is that they don’t have to be the only time. I still have so much to share, but for now, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone I met and everyone who added value to this trip. I left feeling inspired, rejuvenated, and ready to put into practice the incredible knowledge I gained. Las Vegas and the Wedding MBA owe me nothing!

I can’t wait to spend time with my 2024 Fellows, see my amazing mentor , and finally meet Mark Allan Groleau () and , along with so many other inspiring wedding professionals.

It’s going to be a transformative week, and I’m excited to bring you along on the experience! With a packed itinerary, it’ll fly by, but every moment will be worth it.

As a proud Nigerian-American, born in the land where storytelling has been woven into the fabric of our culture, I’ve carried that love of stories into everything I do. Growing up surrounded by the rich oral traditions of my heritage, I’ve learned the power of telling meaningful stories — the ones that bring people together, remind us of our shared humanity, and celebrate life’s milestones.

As Ope the Officiant, I bring that same tradition into every wedding I officiate.
