We have some exciting news! Bluebird And Company will now be under the leadership of new head designer Kaitlyn! Kaitlyn has been a valuable member of the team at B&C and will become owner and lead designer in 2025!
A little about Kaitlyn:
āColour and textures have always interested me. Much of my childhood was spent studying textiles, fibres, and dyes. As a teen, event organising taught me not only teamwork, but how to compose and execute a creative direction. It was one of these events that introduced me to the rich colours, gentle forms, and charming textures of flowers, and the infinite possibilities to manipulate them the way an artist shapes paint on canvas. I waded into this unknown realm with the help of YouTube and survived my first floral job. A month later I was asked to design a friendās wedding flowers, and through word-of-mouth my opportunity for experience grew.
Landscapes, architecture, and fashion often inspire me, as do arrangements in Dutch paintings where the uniqueness of each flower is used to build a harmonious structure. When working with clients, I aim to keep the process stress-free and affirming, interpreting their ideas and tastes to effectively communicate their vision through flowers. The recognition in a brideās eyes when the bouquet that only lived in her mind is suddenly placed in her hands, the excitement of guests when they see a dull room brought to life with arrangements, and sourcing flowers from my local community is my goal and my passion.ā
