We have been having so much fun (creatively, professionally, personally) with our ticketed dinners this season. Check out these gorgeous moments that .lahood caught with us at the end of July.

We are still grasping the last bits of the warm season and wanting to keep dining outside while enjoying the late harvest and crisper air.

We still have some ticketed events coming up!
The first is October 2nd we will be and there is still some space at the table. We would love to see you! Wine and beer sales from this event will benefit the Boulder County Arts Alliance and the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission.

Thanks for your patience with us this month per new inquiries and future booking correspondence- we have been away on events and are still out in the field plating up magic. We will return to semi-normal office hours again in a few weeks.

Xo the FS Gals & Team
lahood took some gorgeous photos in late July and we’re excited to share more when things slow down a bit! ❤️

This season has been the best we have had on the books as the business owners (and in all the ways), we have managed to dial-in some functional systems that run the business week to week, embraced an incredible support staff and found ourselves -two tired gals, as we often say- more rested and rejuvenated than any season before.

We have found that the spark of inspiration comes around when there is down time and rest, and we are feeling the new waves of creativity flow. We are having a lot of fun playing with our food in new ways this season because of all of the other supports and help.

Mirasol literally dreamed this dish up, a sweet corn hushpuppy served on a corn husk, with smoky aioli and crispy carrot.

This was taken on the last Sunday in July , where we are collaborating on a four part Sunday dinner series- our next one is this Sunday August 11th! There are tickets still available for the coming Sundays we have there in September and October.

It’s that time of the year we ask for your forgiveness and understanding as we respond more slowly to new inquiries! We are out in the field producing gorgeous events and cooking up the farm goods- we are busier than normal for this part of the early season and as a small team we put most of our attention once the season starts on executing the events week to week. We thank you for having patience and grace for us- it’s a lot to cover so much ground and work out of multiple kitchens for multiple events week to week. We are often without service too so it makes it even harder to give responses the time and attention they need!🙈

You’ll hear from us soon!💕 we ask that you allow up to seven business days (maybe a few more some weeks) before reaching out again- if you have something that needs attention faster than that feel free to give us a call (see our website for contact info).

In the meantime, check out this fun caldo de pollo with .co chicken, server alongside a house made turmeric & fennel cracker topped with whipped turmeric butter, which was a lovely starting course at our first asado dinner of the 2024 season, a few weeks ago. took these photos and we get to see her again soon…but those details are still a “secret” 😉

We started as two gals who love to make magic around a table for the people we love with food grown by our community that we admire and now we feel so lucky to be surrounded by so much amazing support; we can keep doing it better and better.

It takes a village.

We are so excited that tickets are on sale for our first ticket’d dinner of the season! ✨

Join us and on the West Slope on May 22nd for the Asado on the Mesa.

🍷 Owners and winemakers Jayme and Steve will pour wines table-side, tell stories of the vintage, and walk guests through the pairings. They’ll serve a selection of whites and rosés featuring new wines from the 2023 vintage to pair alongside our custom six-course menu.

🏞️ We love heading out to the mesa and serving dinner at a long, communal table overlooking the North Fork Valley. It’s also located just outside Jayme and Steve’s estate Pinot Noir vines, with breathtaking views of the West Elks mountains.

This is the first of two Asados this season! Tickets are available in both of our bios, and we are so excited to see you all next month!

Stay tuned tomorrow for a look at this year’s menu. 👀

The unique conditions that we work in make the food even more delicious.

Last March, we did a collaboration dinner with and the early Spring weather in Colorado can be a little treacherous, so we ended up cooking and driving home in a blizzard. ❄️

As the fires were heating up, the temperatures were dropping!

The family-style served meal included soft polenta, toasted bread and chimichurri, salt brine chicken, chorizo, olive oil cake, and more.

It was such a fun day and one we definitely won’t forget (especially that drive home 😅).

This dish just looks like summer! 🌞

It’s a fresh, light, and delicious meal that gets the stamp of approval from all our clients and their guests.

The sausage that we source through really elevates the dish and is the best of the best!

If you are drooling over dishes like this and want them at your event this year, send us a message or inquire at the link in our bio! We would be honored to cook for you.

is a family-run ranch that has been carried on for generations. 👑

Cynthia and Ira Houseweart and their daughters, Izzi and CeCe, operate on Rogers Mesa outside Hotchkiss, Colorado, to sustainably and holistically produce the best and healthiest beef.

We love that Cynthia is a superstar lady-rancher. She is a former neighbor and good friend of Nicole’s who inspires us as a woman in business who promotes and helps model work-life balance and having fun.

Her methods of grazing are informed by Allen Savory and Holistic Management, and her land is also certified bird-friendly by The Audubon Society and is also Animal Welfare approved.

We can tell you for the nights we have stayed at her beautiful ranch that her cows live a happy, healthy life on wide open grass pastures with a lot of love and care from Cynthia and her family.

We adore her and her beef! 🫶

A bonus for us is that we can get our favorite grills and knives from while picking up gorgeous ribeyes and briskets at the same place!

Where are all the polenta fans? 🙋‍♀️

We love polenta because it’s a dry storage crop grown widely around Colorado that we can use all season long.

And, as you can see, it’s also super versatile!

Some of our favorite ways to prepare it are:

🥣 grilled polenta wedges with herb yogurt, herb gremolata, and rescoldo vegetables
🥣 creamy blue corn with charred winter squash, chèvre, and microgreens
🥣 sweet, creamy yellow corn with onion jam and braised winter vegetables
🥣 sweet corn polenta with ratatouille, pickled fennel curtido, and shaved parmesan

Which one would you try first?

Reminiscing on this very special day with . ✨

We work with Farm Runners when we source for our events on the Western Slope and they make our lives so much easier by providing a seamless process to order seasonal goods.

Last October we got to do a special dinner for their staff with and it meant so much to us to be able to cook for them!

It was a special way to show how appreciative we are for all they do for us!

Our little company is growing! 🌱

We started this as a passion project between friends, and it has become more than we could’ve ever imagined.

We now have staff who are just as passionate about what we do as we are, and we are so glad they keep returning every season.

🌸 Malina, who is an artist and a farmer on the Western Slope running our logistics and operations. Shes our swiss army knife!

✨ Faye, who wears so many hats and helps so many organizations on the Western Slope will be helping us continue to elevate our services and manage our awesome staff.

Our team is so amazing, and we’re looking forward to continuing to build it out for the 2024 season. Stay tuned for details on how to apply!

A little mountain view foliage, a little Moab magic ✨

Derek and Morgan’s wedding in Whispering Oaks, right outside Moab, was accompanied by the mountain views and oaks at peak color change.

These two considered Moab a special place for them and honored a family member who couldn’t celebrate with them. 🤍

It was a beautiful day, and we especially enjoyed getting to know their special canine guests.

Jake and Daisy’s wedding had some of the best dance parties we’ve ever seen 🕺

The celebration was on a private ranch in Ridgway, CO, in the summer of 2022.

These two lovebirds wanted to bring all of their friends together to experience the magic of the place they had spent a lot of time hunkered down in 2020.

With the stellar help of they set up an incredible tented town with showers, hang-out centers, and a pool party to boot.

We wish we could experience this weekend over and over again! 🤍

Our favorite time of the year is almost here!

The season is about to kick off, and our first dinner of the season will be a new collaboration with at the with !

About the collaborators..

✨ Jesse, owner of Overland Chef, taught himself how to cook at a young age and, in 2007, headed off to the Texas Culinary Academy.

Our dinners are not only fun for us, but we love seeing all different walks of life coming together to enjoy our hard work. After graduation, he gained invaluable professional experience from some of the greatest chefs in the world. In 2014, Jesse opened Saltine Oyster Bar as executive chef and owner. Flash forward to 2019, and Overland Chef came to life, bringing a “professional, off-road kitchen to your ideal location.” For the past three years, he’s been traveling across the country, and we’re so excited to work with him at his stop in Moab.

We are also excited to work with for delicious drinks at their mobile bar and lounge. Regina, their flagship offering, is a former school bus turned elegant cocktail bar and venue-on-wheels. 🍸

Tickets are on sale now! Head to our stories or the link in our bio to purchase. We hope to see you there. 🤍 It’s going to be a great time!
