My favorite song: “Sorry, My Brother”

I stumbled across Jeremy through some other musicians and thought man this guy looks cool. It wasn’t long after that he released his album “Happy Trees”, so I sat down and listened to it from beginning to end. I remember how refreshing it was to hear something so funky and outside the box. I knew I had to hear these songs live. Now, I’m not sure if there was just something in that festival air or if every show is just this damn good but I couldn’t have asked for a better first impression. Something took ahold of me during this set and I think the rest of the crowd could say the same. The band themselves seemed to be having a helluva time and it rippled through everyone around. It was one of those moments you wish you could go back to.

My favorite song: “Hell”

Daniel Stroud is another artist I first saw at this same festival a year ago. It’s hard to describe their sound because it is so unique, you just have to experience it for yourself. It’s somewhat symphonic but also swampy with a dark twist on his lyrics. I always enjoy catching this set. I haven’t yet but I’ve got to get my ass down to Jarfly Brewing Company to see if his beer is as good as his music. Cheers to you and congratulations on your soon to be born bundle of joy.

My favorite song(s): It’s a tie between “Caffeine, Ni****ne, THC” and the untitled song dedicated to his grandmother

First off, this guy is a comedic genius and hell of a storyteller. I’ve followed him on social media for some time now but hadn’t had the pleasure of seeing him live until now and WOW. Not only can he get you giggling but he can belt some crazy notes. He’s genuine and relatable through his writing and that’s one of my favorite qualities in a musician. Not only do I relate to his love of sweet Mary Jane, but also to the love for the family he’s lost. I do believe you make her proud and I sure hope you get that song recorded soon. I‘m longing to hear it again.

My favorite song: “Last House in the Holler”

I’ve followed Travis for a little while now but I believe I first saw him play at Bluegrass Barrel House. He’s makes a modern twist on the classic outlaw sound. For this particular show, he was accompanied by some fellow highly talented musicians and it resulted in a killer sound. Patiently waiting to see what this artist writes next.

My favorite song: “Proof”

I first saw Clarke at last years Festival of The Red and I was amazed then but he blew me away this year. It’s crazy how good you think people are after seeing them once but then they just continue to get better. I’d describe his sound as a perfect mixture of soul and grit. Can’t wait to catch him again soon.

My favorite song : “Dime a Dozen”

This festival was JAM-PACKED with so many talented people. It was my first time seeing some of the acts and this group is now one of my favorites. The relatable “down home” lyrics and witty remarks had me hooked pretty quickly.
Margaret was one of my favorite artists from the entire festival. She played with several bands throughout the day and it was mind-blowing to see what a versatile fiddle player and true talent she is.

Welcome 👋 For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Danielle. A Jill of all trades and master of none, I’m just here to have some fun 😛
Seriously though… I’m a photographer, musician, mama, and a million other things. I’ve been told on more than one occasion that I’m hard to keep up with, so I’m doing my best to simplify that 😂
This will furthermore be my photography page, I’m gonna be making another post soon to reflect the idea behind “LimeLit” and where the inspiration came from.
If you’re looking to listen to my music, then you can check out this page (Danielle Hardy - music)
Posting some content soon, Happy Sunday everyone 💚
