Event Cancellation 🌵

We are so sorry to announce our Christmas with the Girls event collab with .bloomyard x x has been cancelled for tomorrow night due to a clash in calendars for end of year events 🚨

All ticket holders can find an email from us in their inbox regarding refunds + a special little gift as a thank you for the support from us all ❤️‍🔥

This means our last event for 2023 is our Christmas wreath creating on Sunday with .bloomyard ⚡️ which has 3 tickets left!

I did in fact not go home with any winnings today thanks to #5 … but you know what I did win on this beautiful Melbourne Cup day? 🐎
4 nonna naps in one day + crab shacks til my hearts content, which is just as good for Kaitlin.

I also didn’t have to organise my own outfit this year thanks to so that’s a win in my books too 🔥

Hopefully next year I’m sipping margs trackside in Melbourne while the horses do their thangy thang + my bets let me retire at 24 🕺

The first of the sisters to charter into the territory of florals, meet the next girl we will forever graze with ❤️‍🔥

Floral creator + boss .bloomyard mama to the sweetest little boy + my eldest sister as of 23 years ago… grazers officially meet Aimee ✨

Her backstory to starting TBY really was random but so fitting for a Venables girl.
2 years ago while I was at my in-laws for a family dinner, I got a text from Aims asking if I thought she should start a business with dried flowers.
My response is in the pics attached + I like to think I’ve never gone back on what I told her that day. No more than 10 minutes later, The Bloom Yard was following me + had their first order for a cake topper coming in hot.
Fast forward to now, she’s working with florals full time from home, has sent out over 100 custom orders, sells her BQ’s + arrangements in two stores + when she has a free minute, attends the markets with a stall of blooms in Ingham + Townsville. What started as a side hustle, very much became Aimee’s full time job.

Aimee is the perfect example that you really don’t know what will happen unless you take the step to bring your dream to life. It’s also a reminder that when someone comes to you with an idea like starting their own biz, your opinion + support matters heavily to them. Supporting my sisters has never been hard + when you come from a family like ours, you really do want your people to succeed at everything they do, no matter what.

While we all have different reasons for beginning businesses, Aimee’s was simple.
She wanted a big family + to spend as much time as she possibly could raising her babies at home. Flowers gives her the opportunity to do that at her pace + on her terms- it really is the perfect hustle for her + god is she good at it! 🔥

Aims was born to be a mum + is living out her dreams exactly the way 10 year old Aimee told me she would.
A mama showing her little boy she is the strongest woman he will ever know + a woman constantly showing us we can have it all in this life if we work our asses off + keep our eyes on the prize always.

A familiar face around here, meet our next grazing girl who you’ll find at almost every event. Undoubtedly one of the most important women in my world, mumma Kaz 🤍

Everyone’s biggest cheerleader, a mentor to many + her ‘nothing is too hard in life’ mindset is just one of the many things to adore about her.

What mum has achieved in her life is what young girls like me aspired to have growing up.
Successful businesses, a marriage that taught her daughters exactly what to dream for in their future ones, a long list of people who would do anything for her + the happiest home you’ve ever seen someone grow up in.

In my teenage years, I absolutely didn’t care about having a career at all + to be totally honest, I still don’t. Unlike most of my friends, I didn’t pursue a university degree + instead followed in mums + my sisters footsteps to knuckle into full time work. I admire my friends for having the persistence + commitment to getting their degrees because they bloody deserve them, but I knew it was never in the plans for me + I was fine with that.

Mum didn’t force us on a career pathway + for that I’m grateful. Instead she showed us we could raise a family, work hard + not feel any less than our peers because we wanted to live the simple life in our little town.
She religiously told us growing up that she failed almost every subject in high school + that it was okay if we didn’t get good grades, what mattered was that we were good people + grew up to be respectful women. ‘You can be a successful as***le, but you’re still an as***le’ was something we heard on the regular.

She was the first person I told about GWTG when the idea came to me + she adds the fuel to my fire whenever I need it.

The day you realise you’re living your dreams out is when you can have a cocktail with your mum, talk about your life plans together + know that you’re the luckiest person in the world to have someone like her in your corner.

One hell of a woman, one hell of a mum + one hell of a reason why Grazing with the Girls is what it is.

Girl mums, you don’t know how much those little people look up to you. Don’t be a ‘Karen’ in their life, be a Mumma Kaz, every step of the way ✨

Small biz shoutout ✨🌵

If you’ve been a grazer at one of our events or a follower on our socials for a while, chances are you’ve seen this face here or there.

My little sister, one of my besties, ex GWTG social media manager, fashion girly + always the best dressed person at any event- which sucks when you have to stand beside her in photos… 😉

Loz is the boss lady - a designer outfit rental business she opened a couple of years ago, took a break from + has since reopened again now with her best foot forward.

Growing up, Loz was the tomboy of us three girls + I think it was around when she turned 15 we all tried to convince her to try out modelling. She was the only one who really hit a growth spurt + got the long legs Aimee + I were hoping for. Modelling never sparked a fire in her, however her love for styling outfits did + after realising how she could help other women look + feel their best, she opened Elle J Hire at 20 years old 🤍

We grew up with parents who both ran successful businesses + have top tier work ethic, so the drive for all three of us to operate our own businesses too was definitely encouraged by mum, dad + the passion they instilled in us to believe we could do anything we set our minds to.

That’s not to say running a business, especially in your early twenties, is a walk in the park, but having sisters, parents + a husband around that would do anything to see you succeed sure helps!

WOTW Festival 2023 🌵

I’m not too sure where to begin on this festival recap, but we did it 🫶🏽⚡️

Way of the Women Festival has always been a special event to host + although we weren’t sure it would happen this year, I’m glad it did. Compared to last year, we had many new faces attending, with most people travelling from Townsville, Tully, Airlie Beach, Burdekin + so many more places that I never imagined we would get to our events.
Ladies who travelled, thank you. For making the trip to support a small town girl just trying her best, for taking the time to celebrate other women + for becoming a part of our grazing family 🤟🏽

To the local ladies, the ones who support every event + the ones who are attending their very first with us, I appreciate you so much. Without you + your willingness to try new things we’re hosting, supporting other small businesses in any way you can + daring to make your own fun, this town wouldn’t move ahead. You are one of the many backbones that keep Ingham going + I’m glad I got to celebrate you all for a night. Small businesses like ours don’t run without you.

Our stallholders, legends. I said it last year + I feel the same this time around. The hustle of market stallholders are unreal + I am glad we got to showcase your businesses run by some of the best ladies we know 😍

The family who got roped into helping again this year, you know how grateful we are for you. WOTW wouldn’t happen without the support of the people most important in my life + because of them we had another successful year festival-side.

My patient hubs, Aidan G. You’re the best of the best + I’m the luckiest girl to have you doing this with me 😘 I don’t know anyone else who could watch their wife throw a hammer at a tree, kick poles into a tent + swear a thousand different curse words in 2 minutes without thinking they’re insane. (Actually he probably knows this already + is just used to it by now… patience 😉)

This recap came very late + I know people have been waiting patiently for pics from the festival. I’ve been preoccupied with life lately + so this has taken the back burner a little, but here they are.
Thank you a million + more for the support on GWTG, we love our community we’ve built here like a second family 🤍

Just a regular night down the road that holds 2 out of 3 Venables sisters 🤪 One day soon we’ll have the third sis in a video with us + a baby on her hip… who hopefully gets their dance moves from his/her aunties 🫶🏽😉 Aidan walking in on us during this video: “I don’t wanna know about whatever the hell it is you’re doing, but maybe you should go over to their house + do it” 🤣 Safe to say I don’t know what’s gonna happen if one of us moves away from the other in this lifetime but let’s hope that day isn’t close 🥴

The most chaotic but wholesome video I think I’ve ever made 🥹 Spent my day off today in the kitchen where my nonni made countless dinners for my cousins + I whenever we’d have sleepovers with her + our nonno at their home. She’s truly a one of a kind woman who will absolutely murder me if she finds out this made it online, especially after she told me countless times not to post anything on ‘bookface.’ Lindy is a cool a** nonni who makes bomb tuna antipast that even a tuna hater like myself somehow can’t get enough of, so I figured she deserved a spot on the GWTG Insta page with a video rundown of basically how it all went. During the morning of cooking her famous recipe, I sang, she argued, we laughed + I got to go home with a batch of goodness that I somehow need to figure out how to hide from Aidan over the next few weeks 🤪 Couldn’t have spent my Thursday any better. Although maybe a bottle of wine would’ve helped, but nonni said she couldn’t handle it at 11 in the morning so we steered clear of that idea ✌🏽 Also, highly recommend doing a surprise visit to your grandma + demanding she teach you her recipes… unless she’s a bad cook, then don’t worry about it. Enjoy this little clip we made + I’ll see if I can hit nonni up for another ‘recipe day’ next week to share 🤍 (pretty sure it’s gonna be a hard no on that though) Happy Thursday 🙌🏽 #italian #italiansdoitbetter #italianfamily
