This Christmas my husband Mark and I are being thankful for our small breaks to reality. Finding joy in the little things and trying to enjoy the snippets of time we are able to enjoy with each other however they might be delivered. Todays visit to Waikato brought us so much joy from the clear run of traffic lights the lady who pulled out of her carpark on the first floor of the building, by then so early we enjoyed pastries from .nz trailer. A fantastic hand knitted Christmas tree and decorations at reception and then our favourite Mexican restaurant ( outside of Mexico and Rotorua ). life might not be perfect but what is perfect?

Come on down to tomorrow and sample the first Xmas Mince Tarts of the season
I have made these tarts every Christmas since I was an apprentice chef and for the last 3 years the community of Taupo has been so delighted with my tarts that we sell thousands every year.
We so look forward to sharing the Christmas spirit and look forward to seeing all the young families heading off to the annual Christmas parade.

I look forward to my first night market of the season this Friday at the Merri Market at Taupo Nui a Tia College 5-9. As you know I’m privileged to be canteen manager there and it will fun to bring my trailer to work in a sense.

Thanks to @marketcentraltaupo and @treatsoftaupo for bringing @sevensharptvnz to our market this weekend. Lucas looked to have a great time getting around our stall holders. The great people @misfitgarden.co.nz suggested that we showcase asparagus and that presented a fun challenge. My asparagus bacon egg and hollandaise brioche scroll was a real standout ( thank you Lucas ) If you missed out. Don’t worry I’ll bring them back for the next few weeks. I also want to thank @jacob_rainbow for helping heaps while dad is away recuperating you’ve been a massive help. #scrolls #cinnamonrolls #lovetaupo #brioche #asparagus #breakfastideas
