Hope everyone’s doing well and good luck to anyone who had kiddies back to school, my eldest starts reception tomorrow and I have mixed emotions.... It’s been a wonderfully mad and crazy 6 months together, but I think we’re all ready for this new chapter 👊🏼⠀

The very first grazing spread I did was for my best pals little girls 1st birthday... one of the things I loved the most was watching the tiny ones (most of which couldn’t even walk yet), make there way over to the spread (crawling / bum shuffling / cruising!) with such speed and gusto, then tucking in and having so much fun together! ⠀

A fun and colourful Wild & Free Grazing Spread this afternoon for a special birthday celebration over in West London. ⠀

Lovely meeting lots of new mums and the kiddies all had a fab time tucking into the tasty treats 👌🏽 We were just in the nick of time before the heavens opened ☔️ thankfully the rain didn’t stop the grazing or the fun! ⠀

What I love about our Grazing Spreads is watching the little ones tuck in and seeing what they go for first! ⠀
⠀
Our Apricot and Coconut bliss balls are always a hit, with little hands reaching for them straight off the bat. I also love seeing kids try foods that they maybe haven’t had before and watching there faces light up when they realise ‘Yum, this is tasty’ 🤣 ⠀

Let them go nuts and graze away, without the worry of an end of day post party sugar crash !! ⠀

I had the idea to start Wild & Free after my then 2 year old came home after a 2nd birthday party totally wired and bonkers high on sugar, climbing the walls 🥴 bedtime was interesting to say the least ! ⠀
⠀
Parties can still be fun and spoiling, but the food table doesn’t need to be jam packed with processed food, sugar and sweets. ⠀
⠀
We don’t use additives, refined sugar or anything processed and our menus are full of whole foods, bursting with colour and natural flavour. We use a range of fruits to sweeten the ‘treats’ and all of our baby friendly party dips are salt free. Meaning as a parent, you can let them go nuts without any guilt over the sugar crashes 👏🏼 ⠀

Along with our grazing spreads, we also offer a range of yummy Mega Celebration Cakes 😋 ⠀
⠀
This Harry Potter themed cake was made using banana, dates and cacao, with a chia seed super jam and whip filling, decorated with a raw cacao drizzle, strawberries and the all important wizardry toppings!! Free from refined sugar, but still incredibly delicious and the kids gobbled it up in minutes 👏🏼 ⠀

As parties are getting back underway, it feels like a good time to introduce myself to you guys so you know who’s behind this small business! ⠀
⠀
I’m Lucy, a mum of two young boys living in East London. After working in live events and creative production for over a decade and following the birth of my second son, I realised there was a huge void on the kids party catering scene. ⠀
⠀
Long gone are the days of jam sandwiches and party rings! And so, with a passion for cooking and entertaining, Wild & Free was born, creating fun, fresh and delicious grazing spreads for any occasion. ⠀

Thank you for the support so far, it wasn’t exactly the business launch I had planned back in March with Covid coming along, but I really look forward to lots more parties in the future 🎈💫⠀

Gorgeous sunny afternoon celebrating a 4th Birthday in the park yesterday. The little ones really tucked into the grazing spread after running around as Superhero’s all arvo and there were plenty of happy faces at the end of the day, each taking home a recyclable party box of leftovers and cake, meaning very little food waste, win win !! ⠀
