Working as a florist is so much more than design and arranging in the days leading up to a wedding! As much as I love working with flowers, I equally love getting to know my brides. Planning with them along the way, and working to understand their desires and vision takes asking the right questions and being a good listener! I genuinely enjoy this aspect of floristry, and have made many sweet new friends along the way.

The beautiful bride…the way the groom holds her in happiness…the vibrant orange poppies…the rich yellow ranunculus…the softness of the peach shimmer roses…the romance of the vanilla lace roses. Recipe writing is one of my favorite aspects of being a florist, because there are so many beautiful flowers to choose from. But learning the skill of choosing what will blend together well takes educating yourself, building up a flower vocabulary and understanding complimentary colors!

Starting off this wedding season with COLOR✨

This past weekend turned out so beautifully - between the variety of blooms, colorful palette, vendor team, and kindness of the Henderson’s. I had the most wonderful experience planning for florals with Kelly, who had a beautiful vision and trusted me to bring it to life in my own creative way. Thank you Kelly!! Getting to create these arrangements for Interior Designer clients this month was such a highlight! We had so much fun looking at vases together so she could pick out something she felt was reflective of her brand and taste. I especially loved that she gave me full range for creative freedom as far as color palette, floral recipe and style went. A favorite gain from this year was discovering up in Noblesville - Cecily’s beautiful locally grown flowers. This year I tried to incorporate as many fresh, locally grown flowers into my weddings as I could from her farm. I always want my brides to have the best blooms that “wow” and etch in their guests memories. But most importantly, my goal for every wedding is for my brides’ expectations of my product to be exceeded….because you deserve the very best on your wedding day!
