Can you spy a Quip among these pics? This weekend we went back to where it all began . . . our very first retailer, House SFW in Rhinebeck (along with the imaginative Double R Designs), which won Best in Show(!) at Field + Supply on the edge of the mighty Hudson at Hutton Brickyards. In the intermittent drizzle, under umbrellas by Paisley Bay that hinted at an imminent Mary Poppins landing, they showed the Power of the Tent, keeping QuipNaps in good company with pink pineapple textiles by Tyler Graphics, a polka-dotted and fringed foot stool by Double R Designs—worthy of a pampered pooch in a Paris cafe—foxy, hand-painted glassware by Elizabeth Hargraves, totes, duffles, and slippers in bright Kilim, and the curvaceous Bertrand desk by Atelier Delalain—ebonized and hand-tooled white oak that evokes the hide of a Porosus croc. In other words, what's there to be afraid of? From QuipNaps' original 'Verbal Abuse' collection, "A dangling modifier is nothing more than a decorator who hangs chandeliers."
