Today’s Tip - Create a Guest Grid

Your website is really a showcase – a selling tool for each episode.

Imagine going to your podcast website and seeing a collage of your guests right on the homepage.

You can accomplish by creating a section in WordPress that will display posts of a certain category, like “featured” and then categorizing all the popular or interesting episodes as “featured” to show in that section.

Hopefully, this week's suggestions have gotten your mind whirling as to how to make the most of your interview show.

Today’s Tip - Use Quotes

Create a few templates and pull a quote or two from the show making your guest sound like an expert (Branding!)

This is another way to give listeners an idea of what they will learn/hear during the show.

The guests will usually share their quotes as well!

Today’s Tip - Include Links

Include links to their social media platforms, website and any products or promotions.

Many people include this information on their media sheet.

Now you have everything you need to promote them properly in your show notes.

Today’s Tip - Guest Bio

I know I don’t need to mention this but include your guest’s bio.

Most are professionally crafted and include every accomplishment.

You don’t want a lengthy bio because most people won’t read it.

With their permission, edit it down making sure the content is relevant to the topic of your show.

Are wondering how can you showcase your guests that will not only make the experience for them smooth and worth their time but also motivate listeners to click play?

This week I will share how to make sure you’re shining the spotlight on your guest and the content that you’ve created together, so that they know you’re excited about the interview and your listeners can appreciate just how amazing the conversation really is.

Today’s Tip - Use Branded Photo and Headshot

Use a headshot to promote the episode with your guest. Adding their headshot to your branded graphic will allow people to relate their face to your brand. Also, this will create a consistent look to your brand.

What is the topic of your show?

Your topic can be as broad as pop-culture, current events, or as focused as discussions about recent Supreme Court rulings.

Make sure the topic you choose is something you’re passionate about.

It should be something you're excited to research and regularly discuss.

Once you have decided, it's time for market research.

You can search your show's topic in Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and other platforms to see if there are already podcasts in that genre.

If there are, listen to a handful of episodes to see what they're doing well and think of ways your show could be different.

Have you decided on a topic?

Yes! You have decided to launch a podcast. 🤗 They can be informative, entertaining, and enlightening.

Podcasts can be an amazing component of your marketing strategy. When they are successful, your audience will grow and conversions from your ideal clients, become easier.

It’s important to have an idea of what you want to achieve with your podcast before you launch.

One of the first things you need to do is identify your “why”. Why are you producing this podcast?

🎙️Is it to showcase a product or service?

🎙️Is it to share information for a specific group?

🎙️Do you want to position yourself as an expert in your field?

🎙️What problem/pain will your podcast solve?

🎙️Is it to have fun?

It's helpful to write your answer down so you can refer back to it as you develop your show's concept.

What is your “why”? 🤔

Wishing you a joyous holiday season with peach and cheer in the New Year! ...

Quote from Nelson Mandela

“It seems impossible until it’s done”

Some goals only seem impossible because we build them up that way by our limiting beliefs.

Is it because it requires hard work or is it a case of imposter syndrome?

Either way, the point of a challenge is to conquer it and grow.

Focus on the positives.

Do you use an online scheduler for your guests?

A real time waster is going back and forth via email trying to schedule interviews.

✔️An online scheduler allows your guests to book their interview based on your availability.

✔️Through the scheduler, they can sign a release form and you can gather information like their bio and headshot.

✔️Another great feature – the scheduler can send reminders.

I recommend Calendly and Acuity Scheduler.

Do you use an online scheduler for your guests?

If so, let me know 👇 which one you use and why.

Do you use audiograms to promote your podcast?

Audiograms are short audio files converted into video and can include graphics, waveforms, and even captions.

You can highlight your episodes in your IG stories and engage with your audience.

A few tips for creating appealing audiograms are:

🎙️Share snippets of your episode that will make your audience intrigued to want to listen to the entire show.

🎙️Make sure you have the right size. Most audiogram platforms allow you to choose the aspect ratio which is great if you don’t know the graphic sizes by heart.

🎙️You can use Canva to create professional-looking graphics. Be sure to include your branding. Adding a photo of yourself or your guests is another great touch.

Two applications I use are Headliner and Wavve. Headliner is easy to use and you can create an audiogram in less than 10 minutes.

Are you ready to start creating audiograms for your podcast? 🤔

If you need help with it, feel free to DM me or head over to the link in my bio and schedule a free discovery call to let me know how I can help.

Yesterday, I shared incorporating giveaways, a fun quiz or a competition to help increase engagement and create attendance interaction.

Today’s tip -

#2 – Include graphics and designs (your brand) that you would normally have at your in-person event, which will allow attendees to feel familiar elements of the event.

A few suggestions are:

✔️Your company logo or logo for the event
✔️Your Banner/Step and Repeat as a backdrop
✔️Colors associated with your brand
✔Signature Décor - I have a client who loves orchids, so the flowers are throughout her in-person events.

Planning on hosting a virtual event? Don’t know where to start? Need some inspiration?

Over the next 5 days I will share tips that you can incorporate to increase engagement and get your audience excited about the event.

Today's Tip:

# 1 – To increase engagement incorporate giveaways or a fun quiz or competition that will create attendance interaction.

⭐Swag Bag – Your speakers could provide a link to their free product or a mini course.

⭐Quiz - The best way to create a visually pleasing quiz without any prior design knowledge is to use Canva.

⭐Competition – Create a competition that falls in the theme of your event with a gift and announce the winner during the event.

Have you tried any of the above in your event? Comment below and share your experience.

Have you pitched to a podcast host and haven't heard anything? Don't give up, follow up.

By following up, you show the host you’re serious and have something important to share.

Make sure you’re adding value with each follow-up.

One thing you can share are links to other podcasts you have been on.

I have clients whose in-person events included breakout sessions. I like using Zoom because it provides with Breakout Rooms.

I can divide the meeting up to 50 separate rooms. I have the option of splitting the participants into separate sessions automatically or manually or allow participants to make that choice. Zoom will suggest the number of breakout rooms based on the number of participants.

As the host or co-host, I can jump into any room and also send a message to each room. You can set the timer for how long the rooms should be opened or you can just close the room. Participants will see a pop-up message letting them know how much time is left.

If this is something you would like more information about or you would like to incorporate in your next virtual event/meeting and would like assistance, let me know.

Let's face it…

If you’re gonna get things done it's going to take a lot of hard work.

Every day you’re going to have to exercise the most powerful muscle you have: your mind.

People are going to doubt you.

You will even doubt yourself.

But know the only way you will hit your goals is if you have the right mindset in place to stay motivated and grind.

I watch a podcast and one of the speakers said something that resonated with me.

Typically, a $97 client is going to act differently than a $9700 client.

The low paying client isn’t bad, but they will want more.

The higher paying client will be less needy because they have a proven track record and discipline to get the results.

They are not bad clients, but low paying offers/clients equate to customer service, where high paying clients equate to results.

I'm all about the results!

As someone who is an overthinker, this reminds me that everything doesn’t have to be perfect or in place.
