Lynwood Hall: Recasting Billy Clarke for the international Run 5 (September 14-17, 2023) as PAY WHAT YOU CAN.

Billy Clarke (19): Billy is the youngest member of the male staff. He is curious and bright and seems to want to know everything. Sometimes he shows so much interest in the personal affairs of those upstairs that Mr. Morris has to rein him in. He previously worked as a hall boy in the household of the Earl of Lichfield. (Themes: Orphan, Ostracism (aggressor, severity needs to be calibrated with co-victim player), Uncovering Secrets)

⚠ You need to be comfortable sleeping in a small, mixed gender 6 bed room.

Lynwood Hall: Recasting Sir Arthur Meysey and Victoria Meysey for the international Run 5 (September 14-17, 2023).

SIR ARTHUR MEYSEY (55): Sir Arthur comes from a family that has made its vast fortune with wallpapers in the last 30 years. His father was raised to the rank of a baronet as purveyor to the royal court, so his family is still considered nouveau riche in some circles of society. However, he has become good friends with Thomas Grenville-Pitt over the last five years. (Themes: Family legacy and responsibilities, guilt and redemption, self-denial)

VICTORIA MEYSEY (51): Lady Meysey has been married to Sir Arthur for more than 30 years, and they seem to be a well-coordinated team with responsibilities clearly divided. The death of her oldest son Wilfred has affected her deeply. She finds comfort in the company of her remaining children, especially in Rupert who she hasn’t seen since he left for war. (Themes: Loveless marriage, deception, motherhood)

Due to a dropout, we are looking to recast the character of Liam Russell in the international Run 5 (September 14-17, 2023).

Liam Russell (21) - The Irish Rascal
Liam would have been fired long ago for his big mouth if it weren’t for the lack of male servants. However, his helpful nature combined with his boyish charm make him a welcome member of the staff. He is fiercely proud of his Catholic faith and Irish heritage. He and Clara Russell, the third housemaid, are siblings.
Themes: Fugitive Felon, Ostracism (aggressor, severity needs to be calibrated with victim player), Identity and Heritage

Daisy is nervous and insecure, but has worked her way up to first housemaid in Ellie Parker's absence. She wants to prove herself in the role and is willing to work her fingers to the bone to do so, but she doesn't always succeed in exerting the authority her role requires. (Themes: Sexual Relations, Financial Desperation, Power Struggle)

Due to dropouts, we are looking to recast the characters of Elizabeth Grenville-Pitt and Maggie Parker in the international Run 5 (September 14-17, 2023).

Elizabeth Grenville-Pitt (23) - The Dreamy Romantic

Elizabeth, called "Eliza," is the Viscount's older daughter. She is a hopeless romantic and feels more at home in fairy tales and legends than in the real world. Because of her fairy-like loveliness, she has attracted many suitors, but has chosen Rupert Meysey, who proposed to her several months ago. (Themes: Infatuation, Disappointment, Betrayal)

Maggie Parker, the fourth housemaid (18) - The Innocent Dreamer

Maggie is a young and inexperienced maid who spends more time daydreaming than polishing silver. She is a true romantic and dreams of a prince who will one day take her away to marry her and start a family of her own. (Themes: Belonging, Caught in the Middle, Disillusionment)

La Madrina ist ein von bekannten Filmen wie Der Pate, GoodFellas und Road to Perdition inspiriertes Mafia-Larp.

New York, 1931: Der italienische Mob beherrscht die Straßen der Stadt, doch das Chaos der Wirtschaftskrise und das nahende Ende der Prohibition zwingt die drei konkurrierende Familien dazu, gemeinsam neue Wege zu bestreiten und dabei miteinander zu kooperieren.

Persönliche Ziele und die gemeinsame Vergangenheit der drei italienischen Einwandererfamilien werden dabei einen wesentlichen Einfluss auf den Verlauf der Verhandlungen und Heiratsvermittlung untereinander haben.

Das Larp fand von 20.-23. Oktober in Belgien statt.

La Madrina is a mafia larp inspired by well-known movies like The Godfather, GoodFellas and Road to Perdition.

New York, 1931: The Italian mob rules the city’s streets, but the chaos of the economic crisis and the approaching end of the prohibition forces the competing families to break new ground and cooperate with each other in the process.

Personal goals and the shared past of the three Italian immigrant families will have a significant impact on the course of negotiations and matchmaking among them.

The larp took place from October 20-23, 2022 in Belgium.

At the players' request, we organized a sequel to La Madrina Run 1, aptly called Il Padrino, after the newly elected head of the syndicate. With 20 out of the 29 original players returning (portraying their old characters or joining as new ones, even one player postponing their round-the-world trip by almost a month) and another 6 players, who have participated in other larps of ours, joining, we were extremely happy to make this happen.

Auf Wunsch der Spieler haben wir eine Fortsetzung von La Madrina Run 1 mit dem treffenden Namen Il Padrino (nach dem neu gewĂ€hlten AnfĂŒhrer vom letzten Mal benannt) organisiert. Da 20 der 29 ursprĂŒnglichen Spieler mit ihren alten Charakteren oder als neue Charaktere zurĂŒckkehrten (davon eine, die ihre Weltreise um fast einen Monat nach hinten geschoben hat) und weitere 6 Spieler, die bereits an anderen Larps von uns teilgenommen haben, hinzukamen, war es uns eine Freude, es möglich zu machen!
