It’s always fun to help blow out birthday candles, even if it’s just one, incredibly massive, flaming sparkler smooched atop a grower of cacao enhanced stout!

Although not yet confirmed, we’re fairly confident this kind of activity will take place as we help turn the big ONE year old this Saturday.

Providing an entourage of party popping choonage for the from 4pm til late - the question on just how inefficient is it to play with headphones and a cone party hat will undoubtedly be answered by one of us!

(If ya really want a deal sealer, there’s word on the grapevine that there’s free beersies for all at select times through the day)

After an absolute razzza of a weekend (of which additional thanks will be soon deployed in another post with lovely video and picture memories!) we're now all ready to move into the next stack of events upcoming next month.

Starting with a trip to Vegas (Bunbury style) we kick the beginning of April off with a whopping funkfest of juicy basslines, disco grooves and some very funky house music at .

If you've been to Froth before you'll know there's a massive boat parked inside - but thats never seemed to stop anyone keen enough to get down and cut shapes when that funky riddim just flows thru ya body. Who knows, we might even jump down with you and throw some parallelograms ourselves!

Groove is go from 6pm on Saturday for this one, spinning records til late into the night.

Then if you really want to plan ahead, Simo heads to next weekend for some Easter sontag fun for another alongside in the boogaloo backyard from 6pm.

Beard and thick chest hair non-essential for either events.

Thats the first collab were delighted to announce with the Bunbury big guns and the Dunsborough head honcho's this Friday. Hosted in the upstairs bar at we're laying down some funky choonage from 7pm onwards as the Froth crew literally take over the whole bar with their 10 different hydration stations pouring Denzel Frothingtons almost directly into your sword swallowers!

If everyone makes it, we then reunite on Saturday 1 April at for some Funk on fools action, providing some very danceable disco and funk vibes from the stage, just starboard of the gigantic boat parked inside.

Not bad Jeffrey, not bad at all.

Big love to all you beauties who came down for any of the shenanigans a few weekends back at , , and - that was a mega weekend and as always you guys provided the reciprocal love that keeps us going throughout, and even more so, keeps the vibes nice and high!

Since then Simo has temporarily made a return to Europe HQ for family time and undoubtably a mass amount of record hoarding, which means our man Edlin will be rocking it solo for this Sunday's Kombi Sessions at .

Finally bigups to Elliot for making 2 pale skinny english blokes looks slightly handsome at the House of Cards sundowner a few weekends back with them jazzy camera skillz ❤️

If ever there was a possible option to run away with the circus, today is probably it. It almost happened last year, but Dan had work on Monday so we had to put it on hold. Instead we just played some tunes and had fun with all the wonky people of - which is basically the blueprint of what we have planned today -back to , first chooon dropping at 9.45pm on the Verandah.

Then providing we don't actually run away with the circus, we'll continue as planned tomooza, as Simo holds down at from 2-5pm with some funknsoul kinda vibez and the prodical son, having returned yesterday back to west oz shores, Edlin teams up with Oscarin for some Sunday goodness later in the evening from 5pm

Alrite peoples,

It’s taken us a fair while to keep you updated with our movements, our lack of social media presence should be no surprise, but if it is know this… we’re useless and we still believe Instagram is run on a combination of witchcraft and a chip fat filled diesel engine.

You may also be wondering where’s Dan? Well, he’s not dead.

He is however in the UK and returning very shortly to share hugs and very groovy tunes with you all once again!

Which alas, leaves the final line of questioning - basically ya wanna know “what’s the low low on the blow blow”?

Well cockney geezers, here’s a smorgasbord of goodness to fill you in with for the next week!

Tommorow we have a MASSIVE day planned, starting at with simo spinning tunes alongside Perths finest and the trifecta of gorgeous local selectors .mier .stoney . Starting from 12pm, suncream and boogie eyewear are highly recommended.

Straight after we have the return of chalet 3|4 sessions with some more delightful groovefondlers to cruise into the night on the funky afro disco tech house express train. This one runs until late so plan accordingly with your fellow cavalrymen!

Moving on to Friday it’s a night of funk/soul/disco and other groovy stuff with simo in busso, and to top it all off Sunday sees the return of at with the mighty for absolutely no idea what will be thrown down ‘genre wise’ but needless to say it will probably be funky and have some kind of percussive beat in an kinda fashion.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to see all your beautiful faces over the festive period and we do have a stonking thankyou/new year post on the pipeline but it just wouldnt seem right to do it while we’re at opposite sides of the earth!

Needless to say we LOVE YOU ALL and can’t wait to see you on the D floor, behind the decks or just out and about!

Another HOOOOOJE thank you to everyone who came down to Mama Juju at Yonder on Sunday with Simo & - as always the vibes were quite simply… EPIC. Extra special and sincere thanks to all you gorgeous people that waited in the queue whilst we were at max capacity and BIG juju love to those who stayed until close on a school night! Aaaand of course also massive love to the crew at HQ for making it happen, sharing the love and keeping everyone nicely hydrated! ❤️

Whilst we’re on that note of love, we also have a lotta love to share with as they celebrate turning a big phat 1 years old this weekend. Alongside , and , Saturdays diary is fully booked out 12-12 for a solid day of exceptional musica diligence from rios finest for some mega bday celebrations!

(Furthermore, the good news for rios management consultant .16 aka Johnson is he will have 59 less candles to blow out than his previous birthday cake.)

Our super local dealer Paul (beanhead records) down in witchcliffe had the trifecta, consisting of central line’s you’ve said enough, a cup of instant coffee (+biccy) and a 2hr long chinwag.

And finally on the other side of oz (never been but they sent over a Bobby Thurston classic that is basically impossible to not get jiggy to, along with a total eclipse goodie)

Big love to these guys - all are well worth a stop in at if you’re in Perth or Margs (and dutchvinyl I think is brizzy but they got some goooood stuff online anyway)

Finally on sonntag, simo teams up with for the first edition of , deep in the bamboo backyard at . Another session with dub plates loading from 6pm!

HOPing we would avoid any kind of beer puns for this weekends bonanza?

Unfortunately that wont be HOPpening, coz we’ve somehow managed to cue up a trifecta of beer infused events from Friday - Sunday.

BEERSIE DATE #1: First up we head back to on Friday for their audacious launch of Outdoor Shower Sour, kicking off from 5pm til whenever they run out of beer, which is incredibly unlikely since they are infact, a massive brewery.

BEERSIE DATE #2: Saturday brings the classic arvo session back in to light as we fire the choons out at alongside from 2pm for their . (Can we officially class this as our first festival gig on a technicality?)

BEERSIE DATE #3: Finally we round out the week on Sunday with what looks to be a gorgeous afternoon over at . We’re packing some eclectic numbers and groovy dance moosic for this one. Always exciting to play at new venues and this time isn’t any different. 12-4ish, prime beersie time!

You know by now we love a good chinwag, so if you find yourself at any of these quality places this weekend come give us a hola ❤️

Its going to be a DEAD good weekend this one.

Tonight we head back in to the bush for some shindiggery and black magic (Blair witch style), with the first **tparty of the season opening. Alongside familiar residents and guest DJs, we've got a stack of no nonsense, underground dance music we just can't wait to pipe into your earholes.

Followed by Sunday evening, when we head to the very haunted for the sold out Spooky Boogie event, alongside .0.u.x_ and all the ghoulishly handsome crew that tend to hang out there.

This is an “oh s**t we forgot to do a post” moments coz we’re back at tommorow night for round 2 of .bourgie and we didn’t even tell you. (Unless you’ve seen our constant stories this week and been spammed into oblivion)

Anyway that’s what’s happening this weekend - apparently the disco ball has been set to maximum wonkiness for this one. Which… well… does anyone know what that even means coz we literally have no idea.

The adventures continue this weekend, with 2 intimate events from both our men in the field.

First up Edlin will be working his groove into you all at , Friday night from 8pm. Word on the street is he’s packing not just heat, but an extensive collection of jazz infused house and some secret burners to get your tippy toes tingling on the rooftop terrace.

Sunday then follows with Simo returning from his week away, just in time for the second edition of mama juju at alongside for more wax on/wax on delicacies.

Both events are strictly BYO jazz flute.

Welllllll its been a fair old chunk of time since we last posted anything on these social airwaves. Although this time we have plenty of excuses such as Dan taking a much deserved holiday with the Mrs, and Simo keeping a low profile and generally out of trouble, the truth is... we basically just suck at social media'ing.

We also suck at segue's.

So if you're into gigantic whales, you're probably going to love the shindig we're honoured to be playing at this Friday - .art will be presenting his openstudio's exhibition and christening his new studio at in Busselton. Finally a huge thanks to everyone who came down for some silly amounts of fun at a few Sundays back for Mama JuJu with Simo and .

Floating plants, self buckling tables and big black groove frisbee's pretty much sums up the 5 hours of love we got to share with you all that night.

As some of you may already know, Edlin, the prodigal son of the infamous James Mease, has made the move up to the city to work with some of the smartest technological minds our generation has to offer, building massive wonky objects and other things we have sworn to never tell anyone.

Dedicated as he is, he’d normally be heading back down south for the weekend, but a few months back we got a call from .bourgie over at Fremantle HQ.

They said “boys, we got a plan. Remember those really delicious purple sweeties we used to buy for 5p back in the homeland years ago? Yeh? Well we want to dedicate a whole night of tomfoolery and exceptionally groovy music to them, whada ya think?”

Needless to say Edlin will be staying in Perth and Simo will be heading up to join him at .social alongside and .pocs for some dedicated sweetie pop’n’locks this Saturday.

It’s no secret we love spending time in freo. The eclectic coffee shops, the gorgeous people, and of course the challenge of mastering the one way system around High St.

So when we got booked in for a double bonanza this weekend, we got really excited jumped on to discogs and ordered some wack records we’ve had our eye on that probably wont even arrive by the weekend. Classic.

So what’s on?

Well Saturday we have the first edition of The Violet Hour at .social, alongside .mier for 4 hours of deep, groovy, sensual shindiggery.

Then on Sunday we’ve been invited to play at for their debut of , supporting and .cor for a night of what appears to be pure funk shenanigans.

(On top of that it’s also worth noting that it’s .beats99._ birthday weekend and there’s nothing more he’d like than for everyone to get down and help him blow out the birthday candles.)
