It’s more than just a plastic toy, it’s a symbol and a medium....
The heart shape is easily recognized; it makes people feel familiar and safe, giving it the perfect “spin” (haha) on a traditional hoop. I love watching someone play with a heart hoop for the first time! They were confident enough in themselves to try something new, and brave enough to be silly. All it took was a plastic shaped heart. Who knows, maybe they will join the circus next? Or perhaps fall in love with a healthy hobby? That moment is what fuels my flame!
As a child, I would be entertained for hours to see how long I could hoop. As an adult I’ve spent countless more hours practicing circus style and modern hoop dance, as well as creating numerous heart shaped hoops. I am so grateful to share Heart Hoopla with people of all ages and backgrounds through traveling our country performing & teaching at music festivals, private parties, community fairs, art benefits, and everything in between!
