It’s nearly impossible to talk about one of the twins without mentioning the other. There’s a unique synergy between them—call it twin power, a seventh sense, or simply Jennings Squared. Whether you’re caught up in one of Nate’s wild stories or Jakob’s brilliant ideas, there’s always a certain sparkle in their eyes, a gleam that reveals the other’s influence shining through. It’s as if they share a wavelength the rest of us can only hope to tune into.
And when they get an idea running between the two of them? Well, nothing on this earth can stop it from becoming reality.
We’re all shaped by the people around us, and science even shows that having uplifting people in your life—those who bring a placebo effect rather than a negative one (nocebo)—can enhance your health, mental well-being, and even intelligence by up to three times. Now imagine not just one, but two beings of pure light and love who’ve been each other’s closest confidants, friends, and companions since birth. They’ve weathered everything—loss, financial hardships, heartbreak, and more—but through it all, they’ve lifted each other higher every step of the way.
It’s no wonder they carry the wisdom of souls three times their age, the creative brilliance of a six-person team, and the adventurous spirit of an entire Boy Scout troop.
The twins are nothing short of a miracle in our community. Without them, the SLC Lunatics wouldn’t be half as wonderful as it is today. Without them, I’d be a sad Brad—because just being around them lifts my mood at least two notches, and I know I’m not the only one who feels that way.
These two are a true community treasure, and today, we celebrate their joint birthday. It’s an honor to know you both, my found family. I never realized how much wonder, fun, introspection, and joy life could hold until we started adventuring together.
