EDM HOLIDAY PARTY

We are bringing back everyone's favorite EDM holiday party. This year's event will be hosted at the swanky Open Space Studios. With extras including a photo booth, crafts, and a comfy lounge, be sure to get there early and get your tickets today! A local all-star lineup of some of Bend's top DJs, you can dance the night away with five hours of eclectic music. We're bringing an element of "glitz" to this party so "funny formal" wear is encouraged. (Think: Tuxedo T-Shirt). We guarantee this show will be unlike any EDM show you have seen in Bend. Like all MDP events, this is not just a "show" or a "concert" it is an experience to behold. IFKYK.

Who are the Party Animals?
Bend's very own kids music band, The Party Animals returns to Steampunk Festival this year with a performance and parade at the family tent on Saturday June 17 at 10:15a. The family tent will have workshops and activities going for much of the days. Kids 12 and under are free to attend the festival, so bring the whole family along!

Heres our full Steampunk Music Festival workshop schedule and info on all of the workshops in Zone/Area 1. We are delighted to have so many unique offerings. Be sure to check our other recent posts to see more info on the other workshops/presentations in store for you.

2. AcroYoga with Buddy & Alexis

Learn the basics of Acroyoga, how to spot, how to fly and how to base. We will explore simple poses, then learn to safely work towards more dynamic flows.

3. Lifts and Drops Partner Dance Flow with Kelcey and Grant

Explore partner dancing energetics and learn a unique dance sequence along with a more advanced lift and “drop” to spice things up. This is an all levels workshop, no need to bring a partner in order to participate!

4. Himalayan KriyaYoga & Soundbath with Kevin

Come tap, shake, breath, stretch and release any stagnant energies or anxieties to prepare yourself for a deep journey of awareness inward through a healing gong sound healing. No prior yoga experience needed. Bring a blanket or yoga mat.

5. Inner Wildflower Breathwork & Flow Workshop with Dallas

Join for intentional breath work and a meditative yoga flow to invoke and nourish what is blooming within you. All levels, shapes, colors, and essence of wildflowers are welcome. Please bring your own journal, yoga mat or blanket, etc.

6. Astrological Breathwork with Whitney

I access the zodiac to set the tone and intention for the breathwork session. I create a specially curated playlist to guide the collective through a spiritual journey using breath and music.

7. Heart-centered communication and conflict resolution with Liz

"Out beyond right and wrong there is a field - I'll meet you there" -Rumi
This workshop blends concepts from nonviolent communication, attachment theory, and spirituality in a creative, interactive way to help you learn and grow in heart-centered communication and conflict resolution.

We are upgrading our location to a more private riverside venue. Slightly closer to Bend than the original location, the Rosland Campground is a picturesque retreat that will provide everything we could ask for in a festival venue. With ample tree for shade and grassy meadows for dancing, you will find this location to be a comfortable home for your stay during the festival. More info coming soon at the link in our bio.

This family friendly event has something for everyone. Workshops, kids activities, local merchants, and tons of great music. With on-site camping this will be a weekend to remember. Portions of proceeds will go to The Environmental Center. A

Having shared the stage with legends such as The Greyboy Allstars, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and The New Mastersounds, MFG ranks among the top tier of modern funk/soul music. On Friday, July 22nd in Bend Oregon, come catch this local superstar group before Malik leaves the area for college in the fall! Let's all give one our youngest local musical heros a proper send off, Mobile Dance Party style.
