My 3rd wedding season has begun! As I build new friendships with my 2024 and 2025 couples, I can't forget all my couples from the past two years who allowed me to be their coach, planner, confidant, problem solver and friend. My business model has always been to provide a high level, exclusive and "no holds barred" approach to wedding planning. The selfies I've taken with each couple over the years is a small reminder of the intimate journey I have had the pleasure of taking with them over the course of 8-12 months. Wedding day always brings mixed feelings for me because that means the end of the planning with all these incredible couples. More selfies to come! With more amazing couples! 🩷💙

Who doesn't like getting deliveries at home from your online shopping? For me, it means more beautiful decor items to add to my already fast growing inventory (much to my husband's dismay 😏). 2023 was an amazing year for Joyful Weddings & Events and I couldn't have pulled it off without the hard work and support of these incredible people. A spring wedding in Sussex, two high school proms, a wedding production at the Imperial, hurricane Plan B at the Hilton, the stunning Union Club, beautiful Brabant Barn, two private weddings on the peninsula that included fireworks and a mechanical bull, a lovely country wedding in Apohaqui and two Christmas parties. These remarkable individuals were part of it all!! Happy Valentine's Day to this Joyful crew! Love you guys!! Thank you from the bottom of my ❤

The beauty is in the simplicity. Thank you for creating the perfect wedding stationery! This was a custom design by Joanne to replicate the wedding flowers. She can create anything! Do you want your personalized colour scheme and flowers incorporated in your wedding stationery? She can do that! Like her designs but want to change the flower colour? She can do that! Instead of paying for other digital designs that aren't quite what you want or spending your time on creating your own design, why not give a try? Did I mention she is local? Definitely worth checking out!

One of my favourite looks is when you mix florals and stripes. For an upcoming backyard wedding, we decided on this fabric combination for the guest napkins. It is going to be lovely! Stay tuned for the decor reveal in the coming weeks.

The tag line for my business is “Crafting unforgettable moments”. That is my goal for all the couples I work with. Together we create an unforgettable day that is intimate, beautiful and full of joy. The foundation of my business is to provide an exclusive one on one planning service that is unique and personal to each couple. Little did I know that this model would grow to include lasting and loving relationships, not only with the couples but their family and friends. So I guess my tag line has evolved and should say “Crafting unforgettable moments and building long lasting friendships”. 🤍💙

Fun fact: If you are still reading, did you know that 71 % of the couples I worked with last year are now expecting, or have had babies! Talk about Joyful!!!

It's a Throwback Thursday post! I wanted to share one of my backdrops that I created for a special wedding at The Riverside Country Club last summer. It not only added to the eclectic, romantic, casual vibe but also created visual interest and divided up a long bare wall. The copper tubing structure is from , the rest is all me! The Pinterest inspiration photo is at the end. Suffice it to say, there were a lot of incredible moments created in front of this backdrop!
