VOLUNTEER THEATRE USHERS sought
The South Devon Players Theatre & Film Company, Brixham takes awardwinning theatre shows (usually historical/ classical literature) to the stage in the area.
We are looking to be self-contained on our ushering/ front of house in our Brixham and Torquay performances (especially Brixham) and therefore are looking for people who would like to come on board to help.
Commitment is two-four days per year, but also as a member of our team there are lots of opportunities to get involved in wider creating things, socials, and all sorts of creative great stuff etc.
Obviously you get to see the theatre shows for free as well and also if it helps with job seeking etc, we can provide references, and I will be offering free places on any of our workshops/ photoshoots etc as well as those re-start.
The team is a vibrant, friendly, clique-free bunch of diverse people with an absolute passion for the arts. If you love creativity it’s a great way to make friends and see shows for free as part of a small group of people you’ll know.
All you need is:
- to be over 18 (this is required by the theatres we perform at)
- clean, friendly and polite,
- willing to attend a friendly and fun training session (to be arranged at mutual convenience in Brixham)
- reliable (if you agree to help on a show date please keep your word because people are relying on that)
- able to get to Brixham and Torquay (everything is within bus times)
