In a given season, we each have stages to achieve in order for growth to occur physically, mentally and spiritually. For some, the stages are achieved rapidly as the sun from above and the foundation where we are rooted have all the nutrients to put our development in motion. Some develop at a slower rate requiring additional nurturing and hydration that not only enriches the roots but the body and mind. Others take advantage of all the available resources soaking in what’s needed immediately and utilizing what remains as necessary. Regardless of the pace to achieve maturation and or maturity, growth is the optimal endeavor! Today, Sergio and Sarah have taken time to nurture their needs, tend to their growth and achieve their optimal outcome as they join as husband and wife! Our best wishes to them both!

In a given day, we too often experience reflections of our past, including our present and even future. For some, the visuals is as clear as day with the sights, sounds and sometimes smells. For some, there is less clarity but still a focus on what was, what could or should have been and opportunities that might inspire direction toward one way or another. Others mirrored image is just simply that of the present, knowledge of the past and acknowledgement of tomorrow. Regardless of impression, perception or intuition…a moment to pause and ponder the world around you. Today, Michael and Gabriella are reflecting on their experiences of a lifetime that now reflects a husband and wife! Our best wishes to them both!

Over the years, I have experienced conversations and been part of events that treat the DJ as less than an entertainer, a creative and even more so, do not considered what we do as a real business. I beg to differ in that opinion and argue that like any industry and it’s workers there are some who fail to show up, barely show up, do show up with no plan or intent and others that not only show up but are committed to make a difference by elevating their role and related processes leading to an enhanced experience by all who are present.

Like any industry and its workers, it is so important to know the capabilities of those around you, especially if you plan to work together. As an owner, a creative individual and an actively participating operator, I like being engaged in the process and committed to not just some results, but rather a heightened level where awareness of the surrounding environment and those in it are a key to success. Being present is not just about the moment, but many moments through a specific period during the entire event. Aware of not only what is needed for engagement with one person, but the many people who are present. Having a plan and being prepared for the unexpected allows for a shift in direction if the original design and expectation fails to meet the current need.
There are many layers and abilities of those in the event industry. Those of us who have actively committed to being present in the process are continuously planning, preparing, promoting and presenting. Below is a creative vision captured by Michael Photography at a wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in San Antonio in October 2023. He knew he had to capture the greater perspective from the balcony. We provided the music, sound system and MC, plus an immersive light show that illuminated the entire dance area, including the backdrop and pillars accenting the front of stage. It is neat to see an idea facilitated by a vision and turned into a reality. Not to bad for just a DJ.

Two things to share. I shared this information back in June of 2023 on Facebook, and now time for another push to share for those who may need a service that my mother provides. My mother’s business is Highland Gardens Koval's Assisted Living on the southeast side of San Antonio in the Highland Gardens Area (View on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/KovalsAssistedLiving/mentions). She has space available for a few clients and is focused on women. If you know someone in need who is looking for assisted living for a parent or loved one, this may be a good fit. My mom has been in business for over 50 years!

Although we are mostly known for DJ Services that we have provided for over 25 years, we have also provided various support services for slideshows, photo montages and of course videos. Personal one-on-one service with a simple screen and projector or several screens, projectors, monitors and a sound system. Voice-Over, VOG or simple MC services are part of services provided by Future Sounds DJ Service and owner, Chris Koval M Ed Captured below, backstage at the 2023 ILEA-The International Live Events Association Esprit Awards at the The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio. Always neat to look back over time and see the focused commitment on a project or passion that was only an idea. Just over six years ago on October 1, 2017, we launched our Digital Photo-Montage and Name-Only Signage at the Texas Wedding Guide & Bridal Extravaganza San Antonio.
Since then, we have continued to challenge ourselves and redefine how to incorporate various technologies into our wedding services to fit a specific personal need for clients. As mentioned in a post yesterday, looking back at how the innovation transformed from one service into many services now combined as MappingTx is way cooler than we ever expected. Why narrow the scope to only weddings when it is relevant to all types of events and services?

Julie Ann Rader and Chris Koval continue to push our creative side that led to many reveals and exposures of our www.cakemappingtx.com (Fall 2021), www.projectionmappingtx.com (Spring 2022), www.digitalmappingtx.com (Summer 2023). The goal in 2017 and still now is to provide and elevate a personal experience that tells a story…your story! In a given situation, we all must take a moment to acquire and then achieve a stage that propels to the next step. For some, starting at the beginning or bottom builds a foundation and the pillars or a support system that instills a framework to work within, above or beyond. For some, previous acquisitions of skill or experience allow for a mid-level entry point along with optimism excel opportunities to develop and grow. Others may seek a challenge to start at the top and exhibit leadership or in some cases ownership with greater authority, responsibility and accountability!
Regardless of the stage, steps or procedures, we each require support systems and the opportunities to grow! Today, Lucian & Samantha have worked through their own stages, challenges and accomplishments to now unite them as a husband and wife! Our best wishes to them both!
