Vendor Tips 💰
Now I’m not going to tell you what to do, but I will tell you what I find most common. I am often the person who hands out the tip envelopes you have for your vendors so here it goes…
Most commonly tipped vendors include: photographer, videographer, day of coordinator, DJ💰
Not as common vendors tips go to: venue manager, florist, bakery, catering staff
Tips:
-Make sure you finish making all your final payments before the actual wedding day.
-For tips, write the name of the person and what they are doing (i.e photographer) on the envelope so it’s easy to know who it goes to.
-Some people bring assistants with them, if you want the tip split between their team, make sure you specify how you want it done
-Tips aren’t necessary but very much appreciated

Which do you prefer - a separate ceremony venue from your reception or have everything at the same place?✨
Depending on which route you choose, it greatly defines and impacts your day of timeline✨
If you want a gap of time between your ceremony and your cocktail hour - two separate venues is a must. Work with your wedding planner or day of coordinator before finalizing all the details so you understand the impact✨

Don’t get washed out among your crew, be different! Whether the table has different decor, is elevated, or totally separate from the others - find a way to make your space pop✨

Chargers really do wonders for a table. It gives a pop of color, a focus and adds a little more decor to a more simple centerpiece✨
Whether you’re renting them from your caterer or buying them yourself, there are plenty of options to choose from and all fairly economical - do your research✨
As big and pretty as you may make your unplugged sign, few people are going to follow the rules✨
So instead of hoping for the best, my recommendation would be to give your guests a moment at the beginning of the ceremony where they are allowed to take their pictures✨
This compromise I think makes both parties happy. Your guests get a pretty picture of the bride and groom and then you get your wish of an unplugged ceremony after that✨
The world is all about finding win win scenarios for everyone✨

What other time in life do all of your best friends get together all in the same space?✨
Bridal parties make the day so fun - make sure that you set expectations with the people in your party from the beginning✨
Where you want them to be when, events to be at, what they’ll pay for and what you’ll pay for, etc✨
If you want your bridal party to stay until the end of the night - tell them. If you don’t care when people start to trickle out then communicate that too✨

Don’t just let your guestbook take up space, have it serve a purpose!✨
Whether it’s something that will provide entertainment later or be something pretty you can hang up - it is special to see who all was there on your big day✨
Capture the memories - the day goes by so quick!✨
The most relaxed brides that I have worked with all have 1 thing in common…their wedding is simple✨
I truly believe the brides that choose to focus on just a few main things and not stress about all the little details enjoy their days the most✨
Don’t get me wrong, details are great, but I’d rather be totally present and relaxed on my big day than worried about the smallest details✨
Pick 1-3 things to really focus on or perfect and then let the other things go. Be free from the wedding stress!✨

I prefer to break things up so guests don’t have to sit through a bunch of speeches or dances all at once. I like to spread it out and keep the guests engaged✨
Think about it, as a guest, do you really want to sit through 4+ speeches back to back to back?✨
Give your guests a break and let the more important things shine✨

If there is one thing I can guarantee on a wedding day is that the Bride and Groom will be bombarded with people asking to take pictures✨
Trust me, take the pictures!! BUT maybe carve out some time specifically for pictures with guests and they can all get in a line to come to you✨
Guests don’t realize the timeline and logistics behind everything. The seemingly simply request of just wanting 1 picture is really not that simple✨
All that to say, take pictures, build boundaries and be flexible✨

Over the weekend I attended one of the most fabulous destination weddings☀️ . It wasn’t fabulous because of the ocean ceremony backdrop, or the perfectly color coordinated details, it was fabulous because of its intentionality☀️ . The Bride was incredibly intentional with creating a space for quality time and community. People attending the wedding came from across the US and the Bride & Groom wanted to make sure their time with their guests was spent wisely☀️ . The wedding was Friday evening, but they had a weekend full of activities and food. From home cooked brunches and dinners, to hiking and bonfires, the Bride & Groom went above and beyond to help make their guests feel involved, loved and that their time was well spent☀️ . If you’re having your guests come far and wide to attend, maybe consider having more than ‘just’ the wedding, make it a weekend full of celebrations instead☀️
You know the wedding was a hit when people start dancing on the chairs😂✨ . I aspire to have her confidence and dance moves one day💃Happy Monday y’all!
