It was a wonderful Experience 🤹
We toured the adventurous 1,500 feet Mount Patti Lokoja,kogi State.
Mount Patti is the home of Lord lugard and also the place The name NIGERIA was first mentioned and formed by FLORA LOUISE SHAW in 1914.

DID YOU KNOW❓

Mount Patti is one of the finest and the most interesting tourists sites which any first timer to lokoja,the kogi state capital would like to savour.

An adventurous hike to the top of the Mount Patti which is about 1,500 feet or 458.3m above sea level would be a worth while experience for a visitor to the ancient town lokoja.
However an expendition on the Mountain can be fun but definitely not a tea party.
Those that have phobia for height dare not contemplate an expendition on the mount.

✓The name NIGERIA was coined by FLORA LOUISE SHAW in 1914.
When looking at lokoja from the top of the mountain,it came into her mind because of the view of the Niger and Benue river which is 6km away from the Mount.

✓In 1900,the Governor of the Northern and southern protectorate of Nigeria SIR FEDERICK LUGARD and other colonial leaders resided their office and resting place on the mountain.

✓Mount Patti served as transmission area for three transmission stations,NTA Lokoja,Radio kogi(State owned radio station) and Confluence cable network our famous (Grace FM.

⛰️See for yourself the structure of the LORD LUGARD'S REST HOUSE built in 1900
⛰️ The Statue of LORD LUGARD and LADY LUGARD(Flora Shaw) built in 1950
