We want to take a moment to express gratitude to everyone who keeps Wicked Ambitionz relevant and helped bring clients our way!

Right now, we are in a bit of a challenging spot—I’m unable to take on smaller, personal cake orders due to a recent kitchen fire. While this has been a setback, I’m beyond thankful that we’re all okay, and I’m working hard to get our kitchen remodeled and back up and running in about a month.

In the meantime, we’re still here for you! We can continue to take larger orders that we can complete in our commercial kitchen space, so please keep us in mind for brunch, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and those big cake orders for parties and weddings.

Your support means everything to us, especially now!!!

If you can, please help keep us in the mix by referring us to friends, family, and colleagues. The sooner we can get the kitchen back in shape, the sooner we’ll be able to serve you all those sweet personal treats again 🧁🎂👩🏾‍🍳🎂

Experience “The World in A City” at Global Fest! The city of Aurora’s signature event is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Great Lawn of the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway. Now in its 11th year, Global Fest will offer activities for all ages, including musical and dance performances, an international fashion show, the Parade of Nations, an international marketplace, cultural exhibits at the Aurora History Museum, kids’ activities, food vendors and much more. 1. Crumb Coat: Apply a thin layer of icing all over the cake to seal in any crumbs. This will create a smooth base for your final layer of icing.2. Chill the Cake: Place the crumb-coated cake in the refrigerator to chill for about 15-30 minutes. This will firm up the icing and make it easier to work with.3. Apply icing to plastic panels: make sure you have not spread the icing too thin on the panel and it it tall enough for your cake4. Apply the Panels: Take a small amount of icing and spread it thinly on one panel at a time. Smooth the icing with a spatula or scraper until it’s level and reaches the edges of the cake.5. Freeze the cake: with the panel still wrapped around the cake after you have smooth them out with the cake smoother making sure that all of the icing has touched the cake then you placed the cake in the freezer for 45 minutes to an hour before taking it out to smooth 6.Smooth the Joints: Use a clean spatula or scraper to blend the seams where the panels meet, creating a seamless finish. Dip the spatula in hot water and wipe it dry between smoothing to help achieve a smoother surface.6. Repeat: Continue applying icing to each panel, smoothing the surface and blending the seams until the entire cake is covered.7. Final Smooth: Once all panels are in place, go over the entire cake with a final smoothing pass to ensure a uniform finish.8.Decorate: Once the cake is fully iced and smoothed, you can decorate it as desired with additional piping, fondant decorations, or other embellishments.9. Thaw and Serve: Chill the cake again if necessary to firm up the icing before serving. Enjoy your beautifully paneled cake! always serve your cake at room temperature.Remember, practice makes perfect, so don’t worry if your first attempt isn’t flawless. Keep refining your technique with each cake you decorate.
