We ditched the flat corn fields of Indiana and rose a little higher in the sky for this rooftop parking garage engagement session. Lemme tell ya, the sunset + this couple made for such a perfect evening. Spend one minute with Megan + James and it’s like you’re hanging out with dear old friends. We tried some more adventurous shots this time, and they were up for anything! Can’t wait to share even more laughs with them at their wedding next year! 🫶🏻

Don’t ask us to pick our favorite part of Robin + Cody’s wedding day because that would be impossible. (But the food + dessert might just be at the top of the list.) We’ve been looking forward to this day since last fall, and R + C have been looking forward to it for much longer. So happy these lovebirds finally got their dream wedding! This beautiful day was brought together by so many talented vendors and dozens of friends and family that love this sweet couple. We’re honored to have been a part. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Conrad! 🤍

Not only are these two such kind and genuine individuals, but Samantha + Brandon are even better partners. Both of them so intentionally approach life and marriage as teammates, rooting for one another’s dreams and callings. Can’t wait to see the life you’ll build together, Mr. + Mrs. Jennings! 🥰

“Find someone who is a home and an adventure all at once.”
We had so much fun stepping outside the box and getting creative with these shots. We don’t typically use a whole lot of props in our sessions, but Alyssa + Marlon told us they would love to somehow incorporate travel into their engagement photos since it’s a significant part of their story. Our minds immediately thought of vintage suitcases to help narrate the journey these two have been on to find their way to one another. Los Angeles + Chicago are thousands of miles apart, but the distance only made them grow closer. And now they’ve got a lifetime to travel the world together, suitcases in hand. 🧡

Things we’re huge fans of: Ali + Kane’s starry-eyed love and the sunset over the waves. 🌊 This past weekend was our first time visiting the Dunes and our first time shooting during blue hour, and let’s just say we’re obsessed with both now. Not to mention that Ali + Kane are the sweetest people alive and made it so incredibly easy for us. Seriously, almost every single prompt we gave them resulted in them wanting to give each other a smooch and that’s the way we like it! 😍 They’ve been together since high school, and we can always recognize those couples who have been — there’s such comfortable familiarity mixed with giddy anticipation for their moment to finally arrive. September ‘23 better hurry up because we can’t waitttt for their wedding day! 🫶🏻

One of our very first sessions was Megan + Evan’s engagement in 2019. We only had a basic Nikon camera, and we were scrolling through Pinterest during the session for inspiration. Needless to say, we’ve come a long way since then, and so have our dear friends. Megan + Evan will be welcoming their sweet baby girl into the world so soon and to say we’re excited is an understatement! Highly recommend having babies at the same time as your friends so your kiddos have built-in best buds. 🥹

Our favorite sessions are the ones where we don’t even have to give a lot of direction because our couple is just so stinkin’ in love that the smiles come easily. 😍 Anna + Jackson are two cutie pies who met in high school and found each other again in college, and it’s so apparent that their friendship is the foundation of their relationship. There’s no better feeling than walking into your marriage knowing you’ll be spending forever with your best friend. 🥲

Magical, magical, magical. ✨ We don’t know how to better describe yesterday. What a perfect garden party day celebrating a couple whose love blooms and thrives just as evidently as the flowers surrounding them. We were blessed twice this weekend with a day that promised gloomy skies and storm clouds but instead delivered warm air and bright sunshine rays. The sunshine captures how Peter + Emily feel about each other and how people feel about them. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Troutner on the beginning of what we know will be many sunshine days even when storm clouds seem to be near. Always continue to walk hand in hand through the gardens.

The forecast predicted rain, we predicted a perfect day no matter what. 🤍 The rain held off long enough to take photos and came pouring down later to bring a little extra luck Rebecca + Jorge’s way. Yesterday was such a genuine celebration of love. From the sweetest first look to a flawless choreographed first dance to carefree laughs at the photo booth with countless family and friends, Rebecca + Jorge’s love for each other radiated through it all. What a privilege it is to have a front row seat to the start of a forever. Can’t wait to witness the life these two build together 50 years from now. And goodness knows they’ll look good doing it! 😍🔥 Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Acuna!

We quite literally had double the fun at Paige + Avery’s twin senior session! These gals were a blast to work with and so kind. Twins probably get used to sharing most things in life, so we thought it was so sweet that they wanted to share this big accomplishment together. No doubt they both have bright futures in store. We know it’s cheesy, but ConGRADulations, girls! 🎓❤️

Been a hot minute since we shared so many black and white photos from a gallery, but something about this session looks sooo 🔥 + romantic in black and white. 😍 Fabiola + Josh are the most precious newlyweds, and we’re going to miss them so much when they move away soon. 🥲 So glad we didn’t miss out on the opportunity to capture these before we say “See you later.” 🤍

Also, blurry photos are our newest obsession, so you’ll be seeing a lot more of those this season.

These photos bring happy tears to my eyes. 🥲😭 Partly because I’m 38 weeks pregnant, but mostly because it seems like just yesterday that we photographed Sarah + Patrick’s wedding day and now here they are about to welcome their own little babe. I think I’m going to make it a requirement that all of our wedding couples come back to us for their maternity sessions. Can’t even explain how special it was catching up with these friends and sharing about all things baby-related… which admittedly was 90% of the time just Sarah and I complaining about pregnancy symptoms. 😂
Still, just so thankful today for the gift of life and the gift of being part of capturing people’s lives in this capacity.

Doing a traditional first look down the aisle? Then we HIGHLY recommend creating a moment like this before your ceremony. Your wedding day goes by SO fast — so much faster than you realize and then before you know it, it’s already flown by. On any other given day, you spend a significant amount of time with each other, so it only makes sense that you spend a few sweet, stolen moments together right before you meet at the altar and become husband and wife.
This couple chose to privately exchange prayers and vows, all without ever seeing each other before the ceremony. Once they get teary-eyed, the waterworks start for us too. 😭 We always feel so honored to be able to witness such solemn and sincere exchanges of love between two imperfect people who are perfect for each other. 🤍

Cookies, couch snuggles, AND a dance party?! Count us in! 🍪 Pretty sure at-home sessions are quickly becoming one of our new favorites. You’re most you when you’re at home, and when you’re having fun in your element, pure magic happens behind the lens. 🧡
Fun fact: this is our third family session with the sweet Whittum family. Embr was only two and a half at their first session, and now she’s grown into such a confident, bubbly four year old. Getting to capture milestones and memories is the most special privilege in the world. 🥲
