EMERGENCY FOR LEBANON
Help children with cerebral palsy in Lebanon – SESOBEL

I want to share with you a project that means a lot to me, because I am the mother a little girl that suffers from cerebral palsy, and because I am of Lebanese origin.

Today, 261 children with cerebral palsy need you! They have the misfortune to endure the economical, political, social and sanitary crisis that ravages Lebanon. Many were born in humble families and live in very difficult conditions. With no medication nor appropriate care, their health deteriorates. SESOBEL, the Lebanese NGO that supports them, cannot raise the funds required to fulfill its mission anymore.

I was in France ‪on the 4th of August‬, when that incredibly violent double blast hit Beyrouth, and I felt like so many fellow Lebanese, totally helpless in the face of despair and suffering.
Two years before that, I had met SESOBEL at a European congress in Paris. They support 1,200 disabled Lebanese children. After the blast, I contacted them to know how they were holding on. The situation back there is terrible, and the NGO is struggling to maintain the basic, even vital services they provide to children and their families. I want to help them, because there is no worst thing than watching, helpless, your child’s condition decline. It is the cruelest torture one could inflict to a mother or a father.
Today, I am very grateful to the French Cerebral Palsy Foundation for accepting to launch a fundraiser for SESOBEL. I hope with all my heart that we will raise enough money to help them.

The last days of winter

My dedication has lead me to these 5:00 minutes. They were long, and tough minutes. I needed to go through this to see how my mind and body would react. My conclusion as a beginner is to go down to 1:00-2:00 minutes and practice within those limits. Always tune in and listen to what your body tells you, carefully and know your limits.⁣
⁣
Through dedication, practice and focus we can overcome just about anything, or make space for it. Add some love to that and the sky is the limit :) yes you can!⁣

- that we receive heat from another planet that is on fire millions of miles away but the cold comes from here. Embrace winter, it is the season that brings us closest to nature. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- that we use simple words to refer to living beings when in fact they are much more than that. The next time you look at a plant, or insect, or mountain, look carefully, deeply and show respect.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- that everyone is on a journey. So pay attention to people around you, especially strangers, see them as humans with a life just like you no matter what.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- that everything we did in the past affected our present so everything we do today affects our future. Think about that for many moments.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
