So I have just found out I am an up and coming lawyer amongst 17 ranked regulatory practitioners.
My dad said “well done. But you look sleep deprived. Are you happy?”
Classic dad. All the f* he chooses to give is whether you are standing by your principles and values and are you happy.
When a teacher complained I am not studying at school in the U.K., he said to the teacher this is because I am not interested at the subject. And he let me study post Cold War international relations and modern China and Russia history. To give me the best chance to succeed in subjects I like, he paid for a private tutor to teach me how to write and advocate.
Like his Leica lens, gifts that last from generation to generation.
What a cool dad.
