What are you bringing to the tea party?

This is a "potluck", meaning if you can bring food or drinks to share then we will all have plenty together.

Let's get a list of what people are bringing...

I will be bringing...
Tea, milk, sugar
Iced Tea
Lemonade
A small charcuterie board
A small fruit platter

I'm going to be very transparent when I state that I have very little money so I won't be able to bring much more than that... We have the fancy leftover utensils, napkins, plates and cups that we will be using from last year... Then we will be switching to plain ones... If anyone wants to bring table cloths for picnic tables, you are welcome to... White is best.

That being said... Please remember that we will be collecting cash donations to pay for the pricey permit I got... Your help financially will let us continue to have events like our tea party and our upcoming movie night in the winter.

We are going to have so much fun! I can't wait! It's going to be a very busy week for me. We have our Steampunk Tea Potluck Party Sunday morning, the 15th, the following evening I have my first ever goth night CHAMBER on the 16th... Then we have EVERY PUNK IS WELCOME! (Boston's Monthly Steampunk Gathering) coming up the 21st, the Saturday after.

We should have a Keurig coffee maker, some kcups and cream should anyone want coffee, there is an outlet and I recommend bringing these things if you can.

Are you going to bring cookies, brownies, biscuits, cakes, baked goods... if so, what kind?

I have some exciting news to share about our Steampunk Tea Potluck Party!!!

Our contests are being sponsored by Blackmoor Bar and Kitchen, the home of Boston's Monthly Steampunk Gathering.

That means for our competitions...
The winners will receive gift cards to Blackmoor!

We have three competitions.

TEA DUELLING requires no preparation.

The CRAZY TEACUP CONTEST goes something like this ... Take a teacup, modify it creatively.

Last year's winner won with an elaborate Red Queen theme from Alice in Wonderland... And second place has a secret message hidden on the cup that could only be seen using UV light... And me? I made my teacup/pot combo look like a spider by using felt and pipe cleaners.

TEAPOT RACING: find a remote control vehicle... Or take a toy vehicle and attach a string to pull it along...

Then modify your racer to resemble something involving tea... It can look like a teapot or kettle or even a tea party.

There's only a month until our Steampunk Tea Potluck Party !

Have you created your Teapot Racer?
Have you crafted your Crazy Teacup?

Tie a string to a toy car or an RC car... Then customize it to have a Tea related theme... A teapot or tea cup or tea party... Then, we race them through a fun little obstacle course.

What's a crazy teacup? Well, you decide. My only rule is that it must be safe to drink from.
