I’m John, but family and friends call me John Byrne. I’m a father, son, husband, friend, uncle, television director, and overall personable and charismatic guy. Years ago, friends of mine asked me if I would some day marry them - they were not yet engaged, but it was a honor I couldn’t refuse.

A few years later, my mother, who knew of the exchange with friends, mentioned to a couple who was looking for an officiant that I was ordained (I was not). They asked me to marry them. I had recently been married myself, was familiar with the process of obtaining and filing a marriage license, and reflected on my own ceremony. Once again, honored to be asked and knowing what my wife and I wanted from our ceremony, I got my ducks in a row and became ordained. I performed my first ceremony in September 2016 and have been honored to be a part of couples’ nuptials ever since.
