LIFE UPDATE-

I’m a florist!

You might be thinking, ya we already knew that… BUT that wasn’t all I was.

I had a full time, Monday to Friday job as well.

Friday was my last day at that job.

Quitting a job this time was weird, I didn’t hate where I worked, I had a great schedule, and I walked away from some of the best people I’ve ever worked with. This was massively difficult.

However, over the years I frequently worked in industries when someone gets asked how their day is you hear “livin the dream”. I know it’s just sarcasm (no one’s more sarcastic than me) but this always bothered me, a phrase I cringe when I hear. If day in and day out is just a sarcastic “livin the dream” then change it.

I made a change. My life changed. First and foremost I’m a new Mom to an incredible boy and I can’t wait to raise my baby. I also now get to chase my dream of being a FULL TIME event florist.

I’ve been in this industry at some capacity for over 15 years but now I finally get to chase it full speed ahead… for myself.

So…

To all past, present, and future couples- thank you for having me be a part of one of the most important and special days of your life. I love talking and planning with you over the months, being excited with you, watching the weather religiously for your date, being welcomed in and meeting your amazing friends and families, getting goosebumps when I see you all dressed up, seeing a vision all come together…. The list is endless. It means more to me than you know. You’re equally a special part in my life as well.

To other florists in the area- if you’re looking for a freelancer on jobs let me know, I’m here and would love to work with you.

To planners and venues - I’m available to make your clients day beautiful, I can’t wait to meet and work with you. (Let’s do a styled shoot!)

Maybe I’m biased but flowers make an event 🤷🏻‍♀️

A perfect and beautiful day

My first wedding of the season returning from maternity leave. A quick reminder of how much I love what I do. The venue and staff was amazing, the bride was gorgeous and so sweet, and I worked amongst some incredibly talented and welcoming vendors.

Do you have an anniversary tradition?

Today marks our 2 year wedding anniversary.

When I met Mike he introduced me to the world of bourbon, and it’s become something we enjoy together.

On our wedding day April 30, 2022 we did a bourbon blending as a sign of our unity. He chose Wild Turkey as our wedding was opening day of turkey season and he’s a hunter, and I chose Four Roses … for obvious reasons…

Each year we will enjoy a sip of bourbon from our wedding day paired with a piece of cake from as we had at our wedding.
As the bourbon gets low we will refill it on an anniversary to keep that “Kentucky hug”, and love, going. ❤️

What are some anniversary traditions out there?? I’d love to hear them!
