Do you want to support the people of Myanmar in their fight for federal democracy and freedom?Do you want to help the victims of the brutal military junta that has killed, injured, and displaced thousands of civilians? Do you want to invest in the future of a peaceful and prosperous Myanmar?
If your answer is yes, then you should consider buying the NUG revolution bond and donating to the Mung Lai Hkyet IDP survivors.
The bond aims to raise funds for the revolutionary movement against the dictatorship, including supporting the civil disobedience movement, the people's defense forces, the ethnic armed organizations, and the humanitarian assistance for the people in need.
The bond is sold in four denominations: $100, $500, $1000, and $5000, with a two-year maturity and no interest. The bond is mainly available for Myanmar citizens overseas who have access to digital banking services. The bond sale started on November 22, 2021, and has raised more than $8.6 million within 24 hours. The NUG hopes to raise up to $1 billion from the bond sale in phases.
The Mung Lai Hkyet IDP survivors are the people who were living in a displacement camp near Laiza Town in Kachin State, near the border with China. The camp was home to more than 600 internally displaced persons (IDPs) who had fled from violence and persecution by the military junta.
On October 9, 2023, the Mung Lai Hkyet IDP camp near Laiza in Kachin State, Myanmar, was bombed by the military junta that seized power in a coup in February 2021. The attack killed at least 29 civilians, including 13 children, and injured 57 others. The camp was home to about 167 families who had fled their homes due to the ongoing conflict between the junta and the ethnic armed groups that resist its brutal rule.
This is one of the most horrific atrocities committed by the junta against the innocent people of Myanmar, who have been suffering from violence, oppression, and poverty for decades. The bombing of the IDP camp is a clear violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, and it must be condemned and investigated by the international community.
We are asking for your help to provide humanitarian assistance and support to the survivors of this attack, as well as to the thousands of other IDPs who are living in precarious conditions in Kachin State and other parts of Myanmar. We need your donations to provide food, water, shelter, medical care, education, and psychosocial support to these vulnerable people who have lost everything.
We are using Chuffed crowdfunding platform to collect and transfer your donations to our local partners who are working on the ground to deliver aid and relief to the IDPs. Chuffed is a secure and transparent platform that allows you to donate online using your credit card or ApplePay account. You can also track the progress and impact of your donations through regular updates and reports from our team.
Thank you for your generosity and solidarity. Together, we can help the people of Myanmar survive this crisis and restore their dignity and hope.
