I have been juggling my DJ career alongside my full-time job in science comms for 4 years.

I loved my job but I longed for something else creative to sink my teeth into outside of work and started looking for a ‘hobby’.

I’ve always been musical; I played instruments and sang throughout school but none of it really ignited a real spark.

In 2018, I saw an ad by and locked in my first session.

Fast forward 5 years and I’ve played festivals around the UK and in Ireland, met the most incredible people, broadened my musical taste beyond what I ever imagined and have even got a couple of tracks near completion…

There have been tears of joy and of sheer frustration but it’s been the wildest journey and I’ve realised that this means more to me than just something I do on the weekends. It’s my life and the people I’ve connected with are my new family.

A few weeks after making the decision to quit my job and pursue music full-time, .dj and I flew to Galway to DJ at

I made an impulse decision to do a yoga class one morning and at the end of the class the instructor asked us to close our eyes while she left a ‘gift’ face down at the top of our mat.

If you swipe right you might share my surprise to see what she had given me. I didn’t know this lady and I had not really mentioned my decision to that many people by this point. I couldn’t believe the timing.

I’m not one for long posts but this year has been quite rocky for a number of reasons. I’ve really found that since I made this major life decision, the world has opened up to me in ways I was not expecting and for the first time in a long time I feel really energised and motivated - even by the uncertainty.

I’ve got so many exciting opportunities pending over the new months that I can’t wait to share.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me in big and small ways over the years. And a special thanks to everyone at my job who have been so supportive about my decision to leave.

I guess this is my PSA to say that the minute you open yourself up to the universe, it will open itself up to you in return. Trust your gut and follow your passion.

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks!

I am still recovering from festival this weekend…

Theres a lot to unpack; I had a real musical education and met the most incredible, talented artists.
