Today is Michigan Day! As a University of Michigan alum, every day is Michigan day for me (especially since we just won the national football championship!), but I'm thrilled to share it with you. This photo from State St is an iconic part of Ann Arbor just off central campus, and the Michigan Theater (for movies) is an ideal wedding venue, especially if you can't stomach the fabled 7 year wait for an official campus venue. Have you attended a university affiliated wedding before?

Today is my mom's birthday. This photo of her, me, and my wonderful MIL is from my US wedding. Fun fact: she and my MIL did not coordinate their outfits in advance or have any idea they would be so similar. Happy Birthday, mom!

Today is MLK Day. My favorite MLK quote is "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice." I have yet to incorporate that into a ceremony, but I'd sure like to. Have you heard MLK quoted in a ceremony?

Today is Work Parity Day. It's no secret that men and women get paid different amounts for the same work, and the difference is even worse once you factor in race and age. Just I like I approach every ceremony with the same amount of care and excitement it deserves, every wedding professional should be paid fairly regardless of their personal identity. Do you agree?
