I came to bare horrible news!

Today I was heading to my first event of the year and my bus caught on fire.

I was on the phone with my Mom chatting away like we always do and I said to her “I smell something burning “ She said “Yeah we just passed up a guy that was burning in his yard. We start back chatting maybe a minute back into talking she screams out loud “THE BUS IS ON FIRE, pull it over now!” I pull over, open the main bus entrance door, turn it off and vacate the bus to assess what was happening. I pop the hood and saw smoke coming from the back of the engine. It wasn’t much! I had some bottles of water on the bus, but in the process of me getting the water my Mom had a cup of coke in her hand and dashed it. It ceased the fire but it sparked back up, I throwed 3 bottles of water on it and that almost had it put out. There was a kid in the yard playing, he ran and got a pitcher full of water. The wind was high and it kept restarting the fire. My mom called my Dad and he said “where is the fire extinguisher “ I ran to the back of the bus, got it and put the fire out. As all of this was taking place I was on the phone with 911 calling for fire assistance. The Lord will protect you when he has his hands on you. We were literally parked on the fire chief yard. We looked up to him driving out of his driveway fast only to go 10 yards maybe. It was God to get me that far. I was surrounded by Angels. A kid in the yard and the fire chief. Everyone is safe! The bus is at the shop getting repaired it should be out in 2 weeks.

Huge thanks to Point Blank Volunteer Fire Department in which they will be having their annual Bar-B-Que Fundraiser in a month that I will be apart of to give back to the community. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE GIVEN TO PBVFD!!!

Huge thanks to my Mom and her Cole soda for actually diffusing the fire to a smoke but when it caught air it picked back up. Yeah a coke soda! 😂

Huge thanks to Chaztyn and Dorthy (GiGi) for coming to check on us.

Damita White, Sallie Ashley, LuLu Blanks and grandson Alec, Cedric McGowen and Tory Meadows for checking on me and offering to take me home.

***The bus caught on fire due to a rat nest built behind on top of the spark plugs and wires****

This was due to me not moving it or winterizing it so the rat(s) felt the need to make it a home.

When I cleaned it up on Saturday evening there were no signs of a rat being present at all. So to all my vendors that don’t operate in the winter months. Take precautions into putting out rat poison.

I learned today from the Fire Chief that the wiring harness on all vehicles are made from corn husk which attracts rat, mice and mouse because it’s sweet.

The bus will be repaired by Timothy Parker and back on the road in less than 3 weeks.

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused bookings and intent to book!

Major solution to a minor problem!

I work 15-18 hours 3 days a week saving lives and that involves me getting my days and dates mixed up. 😀 Sad but true!

I wondered how would I operate my business and work full time. This week showed me how to do it. Trial and Error will always set you straight. After all the troubleshooting I got it figured out. 🤣 I've always been a hustler because I don't want anyone to just hand me things without working for it. I find no joy in that.

I will NOT be open today....The AC unit on my bus is being worked on. (Electrical and Freon) I haven't ran the bus like I did on Tuesday in awhile. We need a small amount of maintenance done. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you to all of my customers that came out today to support my small business. I was SOLD OUT by 6:30. I had a blast as usual, seeing old frineds and new faces from near and far. Now that school is out we will be open Thursday-Sunday from 12pm-7pm posting the menu a day before time.
